As Epicmafia currently resides in a waning phase, I thought there might be some value (however small) in finally compiling and historicizing its history. I began this project a few weeks ago by posting silly writeups on certain people's profiles, and at the request of a few I am ready to begin taking requests and going public with the project.

Sir Amelio has always maintained his spot in the upper echelons of Sandbox society. Even before he joined Golbolco's quixotic cause to take down Kenny, Amelio was well-known for his third party battle royale mafia games, his demographic work on the Sandbox population, and his love of certain cursed webcomics.
After the Owner Wars began, Amelio took on more of an active role as an advocate in the Sandbox community, working to correct injustice as he perceived it coming down from the government elite. Amelio joined the moderator team shortly after the sl0nderman fiasco and served up until the Interregnum before Foxie's ownership. During this time he began work on his gameshow enterprise, Amelio Television, Inc. Amelio has since retired from hosting, but runs a late-night show where he covers latest memes, trends, and events in and around the Sandbox.
In late 2016, there was an initiative by a group of so-called "influential people" to accomplish two things: ensure the stability of Sandbox and Epicmafia as a whole, and help grow the Sandbox community as a whole. In actuality the group would evolve to become staunch belligerents against [missing data] and associated persons, and cultivate dreamers and savants for Mafia itself.
Eventually, the group had to be abolished once actual anime fans caught wind and tried to force their way inside the compound. It is now a den for trading weeb memes.
"Rub a dub dub" was the battle cry of the legendary Water Warriors, supercommandos who ravaged the surface of Sandbox with torrential rains the likes of which had never been seen before. They are celebrated and feared by the modern Sandbox population, who now lack even tears to shed at the country's twilight.

The Christmas Eve War came and went. In the wake, Bebop and Chris both requested that Golbolco take the throne once again, but she refused (probably not out of any selflessness) and disappeared in the chaos. It is now clear that from behind the scenes Golbolco was still an active player, working with Fred during his ownership and later helping sl0nderman and Foxie recreate the role patrol for a second, short-lived time. After many moons, Golbolco had returned sometime in 2017 to the public eye, professing no special status among Sandboxers. Now Golb produces are opinion pieces, hypothetical expansions for the Mafia model, and now has worked to construct the Sandbox National Library, so that the past can be preserved.
Whether Golbolco's contributions have been a net positive or net negative for Sandbox is highly debated: Had she not taken action under Kenny, the Owner Wars would have never happened and we would live in a much different Sandbox. While operating under the pretense of bringing people together, Golbolco has in fact alienated more people than anybody else and was famous for pointing out the distinctions between Chatgoers and Mafia players. Others point towards the contributions Golbolco has brought to the mafia game and on the smaller scale, people's personal lives. But of course, one shouldn't trust someone who believes all of life is a game of Mafia, even if they think they're a Templar.
Golbolco is a highly controversial member of Sandbox. One of Ballsy's most notorious apprentices, Golbolco first appeared in her latest incarnation down by the mafia rinks, becoming hooked on the game forevermore. Golb began development of two separate projects: a Sandbox game revolution by using Golbultima (a setup containing every role known to man) as the spark for setup diversity, and an ever-expanding list of suggested roles. This earned her many enemies in the standing government of the time, and many allies among the playing class.
Spurned by controversies in the late part of Kenny's reign and encouraged by Ballsy and sl0nderman's demonstrations, Golbolco put together a crack team of Sandboxers with the intent of taking over the country. By Lucid's divine intervention, they succeeded for about 4 days.
After igniting the Owner Wars, Golb tried playing her hand at politics many times afterwards, but never quite managed to recapture the magic. Outside of founding and managing the Daily Drama Report, it was now time to focus efforts on improvements in Sandbox and Epicmafia as a whole, and so Golbolco retreated into the desert with her people to build new mafia rinks and work on designs apart from the Sandbox norm. Things came to a head at the end of Pax Morgana: Lucid's return had energized the people of Sandbox, and Golbolco was included in that.
Awesome Yet Dangerous is a newcomer to the Sandbox scene, but still a well-known regular in the mafia rinks. He showed up as Sandbox had begun to wane back in late 2017, and has been around since. Mr. Dangerous also participated in the Great Sandbox Bunker of August 19, 2018 when the clouds above flared and mafia games were killed en masse. He and a cadre of other users took shelter in one game and waited out the storm, under the impression that the rest of Sandbox had perished. Thankfully, this was not the case.

sl0nderman is a Sandbox superhero. Between his work as a journalist for the Daily Drama Report, a political activist (only person to be demodded for being mod abused!) and his position as the head of the Role Patrol, sl0nderman leads a quiet life in Sandbox's petrified forest. sl0nderman appeared as part of the Channish immigration at the end of the Snowday Era and made a name for himself in the Sandbox vassal of Vidya before moving to the city. sl0nd made huge efforts in bridging the divide between Chatgoers and Mafia players, becoming both revered and reviled by major players. sl0nd made his bid for site mod in December of 2015, a direct inspiration for Golbolco's eventual coup against Kenny. Throughout 2016, sl0nderman participated in the formation of many treaties and ceasefires during the Owner Wars, and joined the Daily Drama Report to document some of the fighting.
In the latter half of Pax Morgana, sl0nd become a moderator for Sandbox. He kept this position until his rivalry with [missing data] peaked and he was stripped of power, culminating in one of the most controversial moments under Bebop's reign. Later on, he along with Foxie and Golbolco formed the foundations for the Role Patrol as Lucid had reawakened, contributing to many of the innovations that Mafia was met with.
sl0nderman has continued his philanthropic work, giving back to Sandbox in more ways than imaginable. Right now, he has been working on a series of talks on the subject of Epicmafia itself, and word of a secret project with Golbolco on the nature of Mafia is abound. According to the latest celebrity gossip, sl0nd is trying to court meme merchant Dia, but you didn't read that here.
Dik-diks are the competitor livestock to the Sandbox Lamb. They are an urban dweller rather than living out on the dunes, which some economists argue makes them better for mass farming as Sandbox expands--or well, when it was expanding. Dik-diks were imported from Africa to solve a famine crisis in Sandbox many years ago, and since had become classified as an invasive species until the government subsidized dik-dik ranchers.
Ookami is a veteran Sandbox regular on his comeback tour. Once a master of role creation, Ookami's critically-acclaimed Cthulhu has become a staple of Sandbox setups. His only known estate is Shigginator's old tower located within Sandbox city limits, having inherited it from his old friend. Ookami disappeared for many years into this tower, but recently has come back and joined the Sandbox celebrity ring.
