As Epicmafia currently resides in a waning phase, I thought there might be some value (however small) in finally compiling and historicizing its history. I began this project a few weeks ago by posting silly writeups on certain people's profiles, and at the request of a few I am ready to begin taking requests and going public with the project.

Tamabot is a public service android that originated out of the local programming subculture, which had become larger in Sandbox compared to Main due to Sandbox's laxer laws on augmentation and attempts at accessing the code. Incidentally this same community is what produced EMjack, Cubot, and the infamous Jink. Many banned users fled to join the growing community beneath Sandbox's spires, and knowing who Tamabot's creator was is near-impossible in the modern day.
Tamabot was known for running automated games in the mafia rinks, and came with a full entertainment suite usually manipulated during the pregame. Tamabot wasn't the first nor the last droid to fill this role in Sandbox, but they are one of the most notorious and during the heyday of 2017 had a near-monopoly on hosting in the mafia rinks. Whether or not Tamabot was sentient (or sapient) is debated; some conversations have been held with the synthetic being, but they have usually been shallow and can be replicated with someone speaking through a microphone from a remote location. Tamabot's impact on Sandbox is still present, however, as they singlehandedly changed the way hosting games was done and arguably their hiatus is what led to the economic recession during 2018.
At the height of the holiday season approaching, Lucid made his grand entrance in mid November 2018. The sandbox community was disjointed after a couple of months of non-activity. It was not until, Shwartz99, the new owner gracefully accepted the reign of sandbox owner from dooze that beliefs in Sandbox would be restored.
As a gift, dooze left the key to her inner Pizza Chamber should she needed to come back to Sandbox. As Shwartz99 consolidate his holdings, the tiny village of "Sadbox" grew from a small hamlet to a sprawling city. The days of waiting an hour for 12 players game were long gone. At the same time, Lucid started introducing roles after roles. Though most of these roles were mainly for graveyard mechanics, the majority of the community loved many of these roles.
However, mistakes were to occurred. As "Sadbox" was no longer "sad", there would be nefarious players who strive to slowly bring Sandbox down a notch. One early December night, a group of vandals...

=========================== **PART TWO: The Epic Quest Forum Game** ===========================
Circa 2016 lots of games were created through the forums. EpicSides was sort of bored of these simple dino games and decided to start a more thrilling and interesting choose-your-own-adventure.
However few weeks after the game started the work on the Adventure became too huge to make it daily and EpicSides sort of put it on hold until he gets the motivation to work on it again.
He promised to come back but it's been almost two years and he never came back...
Did he gave up? Will the Adventure continue or die in the limbs? We may never figure it out...
In 2015 an idea of a EpicMafia Minecraft group was thrown by EpicSides.
After a quick setup we successfully built a faction with 20 members.
Unfortunately the first servers we were in weren't secured enough which led to our base constantly being attacked and destroyed by trolls and random griefers.
After many attempts of rebuilding elsewhere and on different servers, major part of the group legitimately gave up since all the huge and beautiful work got ruined.
The remaining band then split up in two parts: some wanted to go play in Economy servers while the other one wanted to remain on Factions servers.
Also there was a coup d'etat attempt on EpicSides to take over his role as host, which ultimately led to a definitive breakdown since everyone was bored and sort of angry that it was leading nowhere: that was the official ending of the whole Minecraft group.
However EpicSides refused to give up such an interesting idea and was willing to find the perfect server...
Few months later he did it and discovered a server so awesome it has everything a Minecraft player would like, and most of it: ultra secured servers with griefing protection coupled with economy system.
Unfortunately months has passed and nobody wanted to come back even if the servers were safe...
EpicSides kept on playing and building his faction anyway...and planned to make a comeback someday.
The work is still in progress and maybe someday, EpicMiners will be reborn. Stay tuned...

A prophecy/conspiracy theory stemming from nobody in particular, "owner wars 2018" refers to the prediction or longing for a second Owner Wars conflict in order to fuel the dramatics economy and perhaps boost the population. Some economists remain skeptical if the move would have any value, and philosophers believe the initiation of such an event would be a violation of ethical code. Due to Lucid's dormancy, realistically all power in starting an Owner War lies with Dooze.

Platypops is a Sandbox demigod shot straight from the primeval era into our modern world. A master at mafia and the party game world, Platypops has generally maintained a high status due to his key role in organizing the Sandbox township years ago. He's been Sandbox owner twice and the lieutenant of many more owners, but these days maintains his sleepy little jackbox rings in the oasis marshes of southwest Sandbox. Sometimes in the dusk hour, one can see his glow in the stars over the dunes that way.
Pax Morgana's decline began in September of 2016 with increased Lucid activity, revisions to all of Epicmafia, and tensions between the Church of Jamal, the so-called Clique, and the Golbamaniacs rising to a boiling point. While it was a boom period for growth in all the land, dramatics still plagued the social structure to its very core with attempted assassinations and religiously-backed protests. When [missing data] was appointed as admin following the first departure of Edark in December, riots broke out and continued for weeks as Lucid and the Role Patrol worked to ignore the petty squabbles and focus on Mafia.
The fate of Epicmafia was decided on Christmas Eve when [missing data] went rogue and armies laid siege to Sandbox. Lucid himself went dormant shortly after striking the final blow, likely from expending energy on it. The Second Coming of Chris occurred on that day, and the Owner Wars were transmuted into their 2017 incarnation shortly thereafter.
Whether or not Sandbox benefited from the 2016 Owner Wars is debated. Some miss the variety of each successive Owner and say that even if their reign was poor, the events that transpired were overall a positive. Others argue that dramatics has gone nearly extinct in the public Sandbox scene since the Wars had ended. To many it was the best of times and to others it was the worst of times, but it is with great certainty we can say that it was the most important period for Sandbox bar none.
