Epicmafia Lore Book

about 6 years

Good day.

As Epicmafia currently resides in a waning phase, I thought there might be some value (however small) in finally compiling and historicizing its history. I began this project a few weeks ago by posting silly writeups on certain people's profiles, and at the request of a few I am ready to begin taking requests and going public with the project.

owner wars 2016

Part III.

It is difficult to call Pax Morgana an era of peace through and through. Relative to the previous periods in the Owner Wars, absolutely. However, riots and protests continued well into June and July of 2016, spurned on by the discordian nature of a certain publication from Golbolco, the Daily Drama Report (rumored to be funded by the then-MIA Christopherzilla.) Still, however, Pax Morgana marked the first time since Kenny's inauguration that Sandbox had seen a peaceful transition of power (sort of.)

Bebop's one crucial error was who he trusted in these early days. Being in alliance with both Golbolco and [missing data] created a direct conflict due to sore wounds over Golbox. (fun fact: some former moderators feel these panes to this day!) More importantly, however, it was his lieutenant Alyssa Jimbei that caused the most trouble for him.

Inspired by the sayings of an elder god and nurturing political aspirations since the era of Garden, Alyssa made a decision to make a plea with Lucid, citing that Bebop had gone inactive. This was a lie. Alyssa's reign in Sandbox lasted a mere 24 hours before overturning to Golbolco, who returned the throne to Bebop.

Bebop made one of the most important moves of any Sandbox owner to date following this: he spoke with Lucid and convinced him to not worry about the affairs of Sandbox ownership anymore. When this news came to light, many believed that this would permanently mark the end of the Owner Wars altogether.

Shortly following Alyssa's attempted coup, Bebop made two more landmark moves in his career: he carried out the Sandexit Act, a law in concordance with the Site Moderators deeming that Sandbox would, in the majority of cases, be exempt from Site Mod influence. Then, immediately after this decision had passed, Bebop himself joined the Site Mod team.

i see u also forgot to include the part when it got outed that you and some assorted others (satan and siramelio come to mind) were in a skype group dedicated solely to hating me, kenny, and error, because you werent allowed to just be racist and stuff anymore, and how you were conspiring to get us all removed from day one.

interesting omission to make, given that that skype group emailing lucid with a bunch of lies was the only reason you got lobby owner in the first place! funny!

Christopherzilla's regime came into direct conflict with Hima and Kino, moderators that at the time were trying to wrestle autonomy from Sandbox.

After days of chaos and turmoil in the streets of Sandbox, Platy and a team of crack supercommandos burst into the castle and seized control of the nation with Chris's final blessing.

Platy saw fit to establish a baseline for rights in Sandbox (Chris's rule of law was very "wild west") so as to deter his successors from abuse. Evidently from Kenny and following Owners, Platy's attempt was futile.

chris wanted sandbox to be a lawless hellscape where anyone could do anything with impunity, and it was my literal job to prevent that. sandbox may have been separate from main, but it was always subject to the same rules, and chris had let that rock for way too long. i have a hard time feeling sorry for preventing people from being 24/7 racist! sorry!

it was literally on my recommendation that platy became lobby owner. i worked with him directly during both times he was owner, and the list of rules he came up with was approved by me. he was in cahoots with me the whole time, binches! suck on it!

kenny followed all of the rules and did what he was supposed to do as owner. he had every right to ban people from the lobby proper, because he was owner, and he only used it on occasion. lobby owners always had the power to do this, and many other lobbies (like dangan for example) use it liberally, but because people whined about it so much in sandbox, the admin changed the rule. thats not on kenny!

Thanks to a law passed by Hima and Kino while on the mod team, Sandbox under Kenny was classified as an entity free from direct moderator jurisdiction so long as the sandbox mod team themselves would manage crime. This only widened the divide and caused geopolitical confusion for years afterwards.

firstly, kino and i were modded a full two years before kenny became lobby owner. chris was still owner when i became mod, and kino quit modding way before kenny became owner

secondly, kino and i were modded specifically for the purpose of regulating sandbox, because none of the people from main wanted to do it. there were a few other people from sandbox with the same role - moocow and uprizzle are the only ones i can think of rn.

third, even with all that, main mods DID still deal with sandbox issues. the main part of my job was explaining the background behind certain reports so that they had the proper context when it came time to rule on them

and lastly, we NEVER let sandbox mods run things on their own. we had a sandbox mod chat that included sandbox lobby mods and us sitewide sandbox mods, and we made sure they were still following the rules, because we still had to follow site rules. literally any mod from the kenny era can tell you as much

u missed the part where the reason lucid gave me ownership was because we had a mass vote to see who would become the next owner and i won by a landslide. u also missed the part where lucid only took ownership from me because you & the bad luck bears told him i was abusing my powers already, even tho the only thing i had done by that point was put up the himabox banner

also it was a full hour. no lying in this lobby

Part II.

The Owner Wars began, according to Golbolco, when she was visited by Lucid's divinity itself and almost immediately installed as Sandbox's new owner. Things could only go downhill from here.

Almost as soon as daybreak, hell broke loose. Ballsy had organized a militia out of the mafia rinks to help keep the peace as the new mods tried to enforce a new, radical set of laws in place of Kenny's old laws. They were immediately met with resistance from a coalition of citizens and ex-government officials, rallying behind Hima with intent to take back the land. The forums nearly burned down as filibusters came from all sides. Golbolco took glee in making concessions to the opposing sides, and yet doing little to address their concerns. In spite of the efforts like Bane de Mafia with his now-famous creed "Golbolco is an honorable user," the reputations of the interlopers were smeared and turned into pariahs in the eyes of all except for the proletariat mafia players. The fighting came to a brief ceasefire when Lucid himself cracked the sky and gave power to Hima--for half an hour.

The so-called "Templars" took shelter in an underground bunker for a few weeks before the dust settled under a new beginning: the era of Platy. Yet despite Platy's just rule, conflicts with military police in the post-Kenny era would lead to his (unfair) deposal and replacement with Sandbox celebrity Garden-full-of-lies. It was during this time that Sandbox experienced some of the worst hardships, as Garden became increasingly complacent and willing to shift power to his moderator, the prince Bebop. Riots and warfare from ragged bands of barbarians and partisans had not ended under Platy, and they would not come to any kind of halt until after the Congressional Convention that would see Garden's exile and mark the beginning of Pax Morgana.

It's no coincidence that the year people regard as the best year on EpicMafia, 2016, is the year I made my presence known on this website. You're welcome.

am i a sandbox vet yet?

Snake Gladiator is one of the most competitive players in Sandbox. A champion of orthodox sandbox setups, this warrior from a far-off age of serpents proved a major thorn in Golbolco's side as she attempted to develop Golbultima--in fact, he should be credited as one of the major forces behind keeping the traditional 12 player games in use during that brief period of chaos. Snake Gladiator makes every game memorable with quotable commentary and has kept with the community consistently since 2013. He is a strong believer in some of Sandbox's traditions such as the Policy, but recently has come to criticize such laws such as the Middle Rule. All in all, Snake Gladiator is a man of the Sandbox people and represents their most basic needs and desires.

there is such thing as one of those?

yasssssssssssssssssssssssss. What about "dikdik"?

Dik-diks are the competitor livestock to the Sandbox Lamb. They are an urban dweller rather than living out on the dunes, which some economists argue makes them better for mass farming as Sandbox expands--or well, when it was expanding. Dik-diks were imported from Africa to solve a famine crisis in Sandbox many years ago, and since had become classified as an invasive species until the government subsidized dik-dik ranchers.

It's a little hard to replicate structures an animal builds unless you're that animal. This is really a big factor that makes humans unique, bigger than some people might think. Can a human make honey with their own body? A bee hive? An ant colony? Of course not. If a dogs brain was in a humans body, it might be about as intelligent in some ways as many of you seem to be. These things you care about are very primitive though in some ways. Let me tell you why as best as I can.

Various metaphysical things may not have a physical manifestation in some peoples minds, but, they do have a physical manifestation rather people believe it or not, or else there would be no way any of it could exist in some manner or another, rather it's encrypted in our synapses or logic gates in a computer. This is the world and how and ugly it can be. Now imagine that you wake up in a world so beautiful that you could never have imagined it until you witnessed it. Sure, it's beautiful, but, what happens when you try to understand it so that you can copy it? Does the process of understanding the beauty of something, keep it as beautiful?

There was a story of a man who had to put up with his girlfriend pissing him off all the time, so because how much she pissed him off, he went to work. He couldn't enjoy his own house or anything he owned, yet, if you were from a poor neighborhood and passed this mans house, you would sit and wonder how great it would be to have a house like that.

Okay for my actual question: assuming that there is an afterlife where you can roam around the earth freely, but not be able to interact with anything, do you believe it would be possible to still learn, even though your physical body is deceased?

If you don't understand this question, let me give an example: the dinosaurs died 80 million years ago, and they have this hypothetical/theoretical afterlife. They have witnessed all of human history in front of their eyes. They have seen the human process. Do you think it is possible that, with seeing human history for 1 million years, you think the dinosaurs would be able to understand or replicate these phenomena of human history?
