This is a dedicated thread for users to bounce around and brainstorm on ideas for new roles, items, game mechanics or anything else to improve and build upon our beloved Mafia game.

Back in 2015 Sims made a thread asking if anyone had any ideas for roles since Lucid was looking to make some new ones (found here: https://epicmafia.com/topic/71173?page=1) That thread's dead now, but it's always good to try to bring the community together and come up with new stuff for the game.

Some of you might know my reputation for designing new roles and my passion for Mafia. EpicMafia is a pretty cool website and can always use some new stuff to spice up and remix the usual game formula, and I know a few of you have ideas of your own.

I upvote for Knifes to be a new item. When someone gets a knife to be able to use it opposite of gun - Use it at night.

But would it not also be interesting if knives broke vests, allowing you to then use your gun on the target?

Or knives are effective at causing bleeding despite a target being vested, giving the knifed player an advantage against vested targets that a gunned player would not have.

Just a thought.

Dice master that rolls 2 6-sided dices and there are 12 in-game effects based on dice roll.

Or just 1 dice and 6 effects

I think I made a role that gave out knives a few months ago but I don't remember my idea and can't find it in the list. Maybe call it a Cutler or something?

This is great. Alternatively, blacksmith could give out knives as an option. How would knives interact with vests? Break them? Effective against vested? Useless against them?

i dont know what knives you were thinking about but that would add a new snoop dynamic simply by virtue of being carried, similar to robes
