open js console (ctrl+shift+j on chrome) type this

$('.icon-pencil').click()

then hit enter, that does it. so u know its not 'hacking' lemmie explain what that does: it finds the little pencil icon and clicks it for u.

It was said in the other thread how to do it


Open the family -> click view page source -> find the edit mission statement thing that should have something like "edit this" in quotes in there -> put something really huge and noticeable in it like a billion W's -> then reopen the page and you should be able to find the edit button somewhere on the W's

The problem happens because for w/e reason the box hides the button. You can do what I described above or you can remove the box by finding this path:

Right click the line has "markdown target_markdown" and select "edit as HTML"

After id="mission" but before the > symbol, add style="display: block;"

Then replace where it says No mission posted yet... with

Then just click off that edit box and the "No mission posted yet..." box should just disappear allowing you to hit the edit button. Other solution posted on Nattatatalie is probably easier though.

Solution:

inspect element and find this path:


Doubleclick where it says "Edit" which should allow you to edit it. In the place of edit just enter in a huge amount of characters. Something like "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa" then press enter.

Once you've done that, mouse over the gray box that says "No mission posted yet" and you should see the characters you entered appear cut off on the left side of the box like this:


Should be able to mouse right over and click it, allowing you to edit the page. Once you've edited it once, the box goes away so you won't need to do it again.

its for families thr havent edited their bio yet, if youve edited it before it shows up for some reason but if you havent it doesnt

Mine is working... I just hover over that area and the edit button works...
