This is a dedicated thread for users to bounce around and brainstorm on ideas for new roles, items, game mechanics or anything else to improve and build upon our beloved Mafia game.
Back in 2015 Sims made a thread asking if anyone had any ideas for roles since Lucid was looking to make some new ones (found here: https://epicmafia.com/topic/71173?page=1) That thread's dead now, but it's always good to try to bring the community together and come up with new stuff for the game.
Some of you might know my reputation for designing new roles and my passion for Mafia. EpicMafia is a pretty cool website and can always use some new stuff to spice up and remix the usual game formula, and I know a few of you have ideas of your own.

lucid can you please give admins back the password reset key because i've been trying to contact you to get a password reset for ages but you never reply to my emails and it's been months and one of my usernames has been cleared now even though it should've been an alt and i am STRESSED please here my cries before i resort to spamming your inbox on both em and google
and since nobody looks at pastebins here are the roles that would add the most amount of fun to epicmafia
Duelist (revision) - Each day challenges a player to a duel at sunset - They will both receive a gun and learn eachother's name at night - The guns will be anonymous and miss anyone except the participants - The loser's will won't be revealed - Wins after 3 victories - Sided with third party
Butterfly (revision) - Can restore everyone to their original roles once per game, along with that role's original items - Sided with village
Monkey (revision) - Each night, chooses one person for their "Monkey See" meeting and one person for their "Monkey Do" meeting. - Mimics the actions of the person in "Monkey See," performs those action on the person in the "Monkey Do" meeting. - Roleblocks the "Monkey See" person - Sided with the village.
It could still be used in closed role setups I suppose, but that's still a pretty limited usefulness.
If it won't fly, I'll deploy Lilin's Gambler role as a replacement suggestion:
Gambler (revision) - Each day, picks a player to gamble at night - Both players will pick rock, paper, or scissors in separate meetings - The loser dies the next day unless there is a tie - Wins after 2 successful gambits - Third party
