This is a dedicated thread for users to bounce around and brainstorm on ideas for new roles, items, game mechanics or anything else to improve and build upon our beloved Mafia game.

Back in 2015 Sims made a thread asking if anyone had any ideas for roles since Lucid was looking to make some new ones (found here: https://epicmafia.com/topic/71173?page=1) That thread's dead now, but it's always good to try to bring the community together and come up with new stuff for the game.

Some of you might know my reputation for designing new roles and my passion for Mafia. EpicMafia is a pretty cool website and can always use some new stuff to spice up and remix the usual game formula, and I know a few of you have ideas of your own.

could you please turn off the no-timeout thing you made when hosts host a game

either make it an game option or keep it on completely, not all hosts want the change :l

also for knives: fabbed knives currently do absolutely nothing they don't even show up and i think it would be cool if fabbed knives (or blades, as golb wants them to be called) would cause someone to 'trip and stab themselves'

Here's one of my favorite suggested roles that I came across when I was starting up: https://epicmafia.com/role/6156

Its use in Main might be limited and it might just be used for memes and messing around in Sandbox, but reminding players of past day claims and reports whilst they take care of their night actions is helpful across the board so it gets my vote.

• Can there be a red message in chat indicating in a general fashion that the autokick timer is active and those with unfinished meetings either vote or die, so inattentive/new/muted people veg less often?

• Here's a dump of changes I wanted to see as of late August, collected over months. Anything since was lost to the death of my previous phone. http://pastebin.com/Zs2u5C2Z Significant bugs, me being picky or ticked off in the moment, whatever.

I'll highlight this:

- Bump a game to the top if someone who hasn't previously joined it joins it, and/or if it's been five minutes since the last bump upon someone joining.

And also unlimited setups per account, paginated on profiles, probably as an expansion of the existing token purchase if making it free + giving token refunds is asking too much. There's just so many ways to play, and experimenting with new ones should be encouraged.

Please fix this asap! I have been trying to play this since 2011 but it never worked! The web cam in lobby chat works fine but in game it never worked!

Hi. I think Lucid should make Monkey into 3p because it's too unbalanced.

Example: We tested Monkey on Amnesiac.

Monkey uses Monkey See meeting on Amnesiac. Uses Monkey Do meeting on Thief. It takes Amnesiac's action and blocks them, however, the Monkey also converted to Thief as a result.

Not to mention, with its meeting it can copy Mafia too and kill as well or find out their Mafia Actions. I'd say it seems a bit too unbalanced as town and rather they should be 3p to balance sides and that their win condition is their survival or something.

I second this! Monkey should have win condition as successfully perform some number of actions say 3 or survive the game!

lucid does all he can to make em inaccessible to scripts

if you want to make a player client that works detached from the website, you can connect to m.epicmafia.com iirc and you can reference emjack for a list of commands. you also have to unshorten them, which you can also figure out from emjack

same for both games and lobby chat, it just depends what your join is

Hey Lucid, you should think about making a role like the Falconer, where reports are given on a certain number of days from getting the report.

NOTE 4: I don't think quoting things over and over again is going to make Lucid pay more attention to your stuff. Maybe try rewording it and adding to it if you feel like it was overlooked the first time?
