This is a dedicated thread for users to bounce around and brainstorm on ideas for new roles, items, game mechanics or anything else to improve and build upon our beloved Mafia game.

Back in 2015 Sims made a thread asking if anyone had any ideas for roles since Lucid was looking to make some new ones (found here: https://epicmafia.com/topic/71173?page=1) That thread's dead now, but it's always good to try to bring the community together and come up with new stuff for the game.

Some of you might know my reputation for designing new roles and my passion for Mafia. EpicMafia is a pretty cool website and can always use some new stuff to spice up and remix the usual game formula, and I know a few of you have ideas of your own.

NOTE: If you're here to complain about Sandbox moderation or the site mods, please don't.

make sure to build some kind of security so that if the person they were voting vegges/suicides they won't die after changing the vote.

adjust the height of mobile games so it fills the full screen. with whatever height it's currently set to menus get cut off when there's more than 8-9 people alive. real awful if you roll ww

I just thought of this, but it's a pretty minor issue. Aside from the 4 lobbies that are always up there, I have 9 lobbies on this site favorites. As it is now, when you favorite too many lobbies it ends up looking pretty ugly. I'm sure there is a cleaner way to display these.



Maybe a drop down or even a horizontal scroll, which is how it's displayed on mobile.

While I enjoy this idea, I feel like it shouldn't be implemented simply because if you're playing a game in main/a ranked game you should be paying attention anyways.


People tend to Not pay attention on purpose. This at least lowers the possibility.

I know people who pretend to be afk just so they can win or lose. Or when they see the player they are throwing for is losing, they to go afk and veg the game, making sure that person doesnt lose a game.

Since in the other lobby people constantly complain how people pretend to be afk, but they are in the game, and just pretend to be afk beause they are losing and veg, i suggest this :

A button in the game that will hide all your chat and make you switch to afk mode.

Meanwhile, everyone in the game will see that you are really afk.

That way people can't fake afk because they can't see the chat, they cant see who is dead etc. - There should be a message in the chat when someone goes afk and when he comes back. And if people say they were afk, but didn't press the button, it will be obvious they suicided on purpose, not because they were afk.

The option will be avaiable during the night and the day, but the message will appear only in the morning.


Second suggestion is timestamp on votes and gun fire. It is actually quiet usefull to have it in ranked games.

I have no idea if this was mentioned, or has since been fixed since I last checked (before lucid started fixing things) but it came up when I was discussing bleeder being fixed with some1:

If you mason someone that is doused by arsonist, it removes the dousing.
