Comp is so bad right now, its actually just funny. Theres nothing else to it. It's simply funny how bad it is. I think its time you all realize this. The sooner you accept that, the quicker we can fix it. Because games are just s'hit. They are played like reds and no one cares about throws/meta abuse/ect anymore and these are suppose to be competitive games. Mods are forgiving 'bad play' reports more now than ever. I saw a gt alt with 18-50 record. it takes actual skill to reach that level as a gt alt and not be banned by now. He srsly must have some top tier main outplaying mods with dumbtells
I'm writing to request we split the lobbies: Competitive/Casual.
We need a comp atmosphere to have a competition. Moderation of comp lobby should be harsher too. Trust me on this. Tables are so s'hit. Players have no clue what they're doing. Go with me here. I used to play competitive CPL cs1.6. Google 'vilden mage' and you'll find me. I know a casual game vs a competition. Merged lobbies ruined the comp aspect I used to rly enjoy
All you have to do now is ask lucid to do it. Keep asking until he does it.
Just do it.
Examples of a 'competitive' games in the current lobby
Froce and OohashiAkko overthrow him to lynch a town
They blame others in post game when they lose
There are so many terrible players like this that it isn't a competition it's like a r'etard magnet filled with trolls, gt'ers, and idiots. A lobby exclusive to comp players will intimidate players in such a way that they worry more about their own improvement and gameplay. When you have such a casual, s'hitty lobby, it facilitates players who arent playing to win or COMPETE as they should be
Before Sonseray left he was dead set on getting me to implement this. I've thought about it on and off for the last two months and I've still not come to a solid conclusion. There are merits to a competitive lobby. If we had 50+ comp players active nightly I would separate the lobbies in the blink of an eye and have competitive lobby be its own, more serious lobby, and would even have moderators (with more mafia experience) dedicated to handling reports from it.
The main problem, at the moment, is that we don't have enough dedicated mafia players around. Games are going to be filled by the same bad players that you are trying to dodge in main lobby because there's not going to be a way we can filter them (points doesn't work because anyone can farm points) and we can't just ban them from the lobby because they're bad players.
The problem that we should first focus on is transitioning the large amount of casual red heart players to competitive mafia and getting them to 1) learn the mechanics 2) be interested enough in playing competitively and 3) want to participate in the competitive community. Drafting up a plan that tackles those goals first would be what I would do if I were to seriously pursue the lobby separation idea.
posts this to be upvoted by his friends; never even played comp lobby, and is just sheeping the community when he says "enjoy waiting for games to fill" SJW former banned user, hasnt played competitive in months Proves why a lobby split would help; gets upvoted by Gerry who shows his total lack of knowledge Jack is a casual, doesnt play comp, shouldnt be commenting as I say

Don't touch Games lobby though
It's sacred

I have an idea
Let's combine EVERY lobby into one
Main, Sandbox, Survivor, and all customs
It'll be great because we'll be one giant, loving, horrific family and everyone will be forced to be together

yeah me being apart of a family like bad boyz which was one the biggest competitive families back in 2011 makes me a casual
This is a post which was made
i didnt say anything about the success, just pointing out i was a tryhard
vilden i dont think you understand that even if you split the lobbies there is nothing stopping training players from joining the competition, which are the type of people that were alienated/complained about
believe me i was there. im the loremaster while billstickers is away
that's not a problem. thats great when training players join in. they're in to learn

That makes sense
I meant to make a point that a lot of newer players aren't active in the community and have a smaller chance at becoming leaders throughout the site
I know everyone says "Oh ho ho everyone has an equal shot at modding" but, in general, most people are admined/modded when they're known by those already in place
If you think about it, the newer(ish) players aren't able to explore possibilities and concepts like when the site was new, and maybe they have good ideas
I wonder if there is a way to incorporate more new/fresh opinions from people you wouldn't normally hear from
I'm not really good at compiling my thoughts but I hope that makes half sense at least
You can't really blame people for choosing to work with people their more acquainted with, like you might be extremely intelligent but if you literally can't communicate with another person or "make friends" then there's no point cause you can't get your point across.
This site really can't get any more "fresh" tbf, like all the "freshness" has been squeezed out, atm it's probably as efficient as it can get.
I'm not saying it's wrong to work with people you know I just meant that "it is what it is"
Hedger / annajane aren't comparable in the slightest. Anna downvoted my topic so I called her out on being unqualified to comment. If you're sensitive about that, then leave the discussion.
i'm just letting you know that having played in other lobbies is not a disqualifier of having an opinion towards competitive mafia
I think it's more like "your IQ must be above this line to comment"
