Comp is so bad right now, its actually just funny. Theres nothing else to it. It's simply funny how bad it is. I think its time you all realize this. The sooner you accept that, the quicker we can fix it. Because games are just s'hit. They are played like reds and no one cares about throws/meta abuse/ect anymore and these are suppose to be competitive games. Mods are forgiving 'bad play' reports more now than ever. I saw a gt alt with 18-50 record. it takes actual skill to reach that level as a gt alt and not be banned by now. He srsly must have some top tier main outplaying mods with dumbtells
I'm writing to request we split the lobbies: Competitive/Casual.
We need a comp atmosphere to have a competition. Moderation of comp lobby should be harsher too. Trust me on this. Tables are so s'hit. Players have no clue what they're doing. Go with me here. I used to play competitive CPL cs1.6. Google 'vilden mage' and you'll find me. I know a casual game vs a competition. Merged lobbies ruined the comp aspect I used to rly enjoy
All you have to do now is ask lucid to do it. Keep asking until he does it.
Just do it.
Examples of a 'competitive' games in the current lobby
Froce and OohashiAkko overthrow him to lynch a town
They blame others in post game when they lose
There are so many terrible players like this that it isn't a competition it's like a r'etard magnet filled with trolls, gt'ers, and idiots. A lobby exclusive to comp players will intimidate players in such a way that they worry more about their own improvement and gameplay. When you have such a casual, s'hitty lobby, it facilitates players who arent playing to win or COMPETE as they should be
maxwell is probably the (only) person who actually was really good at mafia and showed it consistently
Im so amazed at how consistenly good he was without actually playing with friends.

Maybe the reason the mentality sucks so much is that older mafia players were supposed to move on by now and pass on their whatevers to the newer players but the older ones stuck around and basically mooch off of everyone else's games and criticize them for not doing things the old way
old days was just decent mafia players playing with each other and only getting better at reading the table instead of understanding the game itself, if that makes sense
No, Mafia has been entirely the same since i first joined, every now and then people complain about how it's changed but it hasn't. The amount of fun/skill level has been steady since 2013 at least and from what Empire's told me it's been pretty much the same even since when he used to play.
The merge didnt help the problem with players. It made it worse. There is more animosity in games. Retti I'm certain you will defend the merge for being responsible for orchestrating it.
I'm telling you that comp lobby was a different f'ucking tier of play. And bad players were there too, I was one of them. they are the ones who broke those training lobby habits

Also the fact these people mod. Some of them read games meaning they know somewhat what is going on
Being an epicmafia moderator where ur job is to get ppl banned for saying mong doesnt give you the experience of true competition
hedger has won like 5 trophies, modded, and been a mainstay in survivor lobby for years. vivor is completely irrelevant to your argument so idk why you even brought it up
Mafia or the state of it has been bad for 5+ years now. This topic is no different from the millions of topics made about the state of competition. Even when the lobbies were separated people complained about how bad and unhealthy the competition was. This is not a issue with the lobby system rather the player themselves.

Man I hate being good at mafia because now all I see are really bad players and no one is as good as me ugh
vilden the players, the mods, the setups, the lobby comments, the chatbox, the threads and the background should tell you this website is a joke. It's fun if you play it as a joke. The competition isn't supposed to be serious. Mafia can't be a seriously competitive game if it doesn't account for role distribution, player relations and night zero actions. None of those things are going to be accounted for.
Who are you? pm me

also that mentality is what was killing the website, because training didnt want to get along with competitive and vice-versa, they were two separate communities for 0 reason

p.s you will never escape the bad people or the training players you believe are bad because the skill level of mafia on this website is laughable, and i say this from a perspective of myself because god knows if i understand the meta right now
Also the fact these people mod. Some of them read games meaning they know somewhat what is going on

EpicMafia doesn't have enough people to split lobbies
Maybe it would be working if they never combined in the first place, but to re-split them is basically suicide for the competitive game at this point
If you don't want bad people playing comp, that is fine, but if your wish is granted, you're gonna wish you could fill even one game with those same bad people when they don't come back
I disproved everyone downvoting my topic btw. Annajane wasn't around during comp lobby, shes also a casual survivor player. You guys should do me a favor and remove the downvotes
dude what? we all know i've been playing comp for a long time and can play you under the table? what does me playing survivor have to do with anything????? oh if u play survivor you must not understand comp!!!!
You might want to consider not saying things

because that's relevant

You got lobbies to merge? Or split?
i got them to merge
That was a terrible idea. The training players dont change habits because all games are the same to them. They don't see a competitive lobby, or any idea of a more challenging game. It's like playing a sport at an entry level and you're never told there's a professional league. Noobs in training dont see competitive games as an advancement.
This is common sense. I knew that going into comp lobby was going to be hard at first. So I reviewed games to learn. It was a huge transition. When you remove this boundary, you removed the whole idea of competitive play
haha no man competitive was in a dying state unless you like waiting for 10+ minutes to fill games
