I couldn't find a similar topic so let's do it in here let's dive STRAIGHT IN
only make original roles, nothing like 'batman'
Hijacker - Non-Meeting Mafia role that doesn't do anything. Upon dying, possesses a random town player. This means though his body is in the graveyard, he lives on through the town character, and can even speak through that persons mouth as if he he were venting him. Because of this, it will quickly become obvious who the hijacker possessed. The hijacked person counts as a live mafia player, so the town will have to decide whether it's worth lynching him or not. Maybe he is a detective and would still be worth keeping alive, or a sanity confirmed cop, etc. Maybe shrinks or visiting a priest will cure the possessed person and properly kill the hijacker.
Bo oby Trapper - Mafia role that can lay down a trap during the day once per game. Upon laying the trap, a system message will read 'Somebody laid a trap!' so it's anonymous. After this system message, the very next person to speak that day blows up, and then the trap is gone. For the rest of the day, nobody will be allowed to speak if they don't want to die, but they will be able to continue speaking to each other in whispers. People wearing vests can activate the trap and lose their vest.
Necromancer Sided with the Mafia but does not attend meetings Can choose someone once per game at night If that person dies, they are saved and become a thrall of the necromancer Thrall maintains role, dies if the necromancer dies, and wins if they win Thrall does not maintain their old win condition
- Sided with the mafia - Cannot vote to kill during the first night - Becomes a regular mafia after the first day
Postman/Mailman:
- Sided with the village - Visits a player each night to give them their post/mail - That player receives a package the next day, which they can choose to open at any point - 33% chance of receiving a gun - 33% chance of receiving a bomb, which kills the player on impact - 33% chance they receive their gas or electricity bill which has no impact on the game - If sabbed, the post/mailman will always give out the parcel containing the bomb
crime scene investigator is really unique and simple, I would keep it to just essentially being carol'd if he correctly picks someone who dies that night though
Crime scene investigator. -Sided with town. -Shares a meeting. -Can visit one player at night, dead or alive. -If chosen alive player doesn't die that night nothing happens. -If chosen player dies that night or is already dead will get the role that killed them plus list of three players, one of which killed the chosen player. -If chosen player was lynched nothing happens/the CSI gets a message that they are dumb for investigating a solved case.
Taylor Swift - Sided with 3rd Party - Picks one person to fall in love with each night - Promptly dumps said person at the end of the day - Immune to hookers because she's too much of a sweetheart - Once per game can "shake it off" if attacked by mafia effectively cancelling their kill. - Wins if she has been in a relationship with everyone left in the game
- Visits a player every night - If the person who's visited is cop, their sanity will change - Cop will know they have been visited, but not know their new sanity - Sided with the mafia
Dave
- Votes count as -1 - Appears to self as villager - Appears as Dave on death - Sided with the village
Scientist
- Creates a potion each night and hands it out to a player - The player has the option to drink the potion at any point during the day - When the player has drank the potion: - 20% chance the player will be immune from kills and lynches for the day and the following night - 20% chance the player will be poisoned - 20% chance the player will die - 20% chance the potion gives the player a sixth sense and correctly identifies a player as town/mafia - 20% chance the potion does nothing - Sided with the village
Lonely Villager
- Appears as blue to self - Dies if it hasn't been visited after 3 days - Sided with the village
Curious
- Once per game, spies on a mafia meeting - Can do this once per game - Mafia know that the Curious is there - Names will appear anonymous - Sided with the village
Check out my other roles, including the War Demon, in my profile!

Jester:
- Visits a random person every night to entertain that player - Meeting is anonymous - Dies if the person he is visiting is killed that night - Wins with the mafia whilst receiving less points. Mafia receive more. - Wins with the town whilst receiving more points. Town receive less. - Sided with the third party
Bouncer:
- In a bouncer setup, once per game, every player goes out for a night out to the local club and no night actions are made. - Will either let in one person (town) or stop someone going in (mafia) - The bouncer does not let Millers, Suspects or third party roles into the club - Sided with the village
Millionaire:
- Millionaire can only be played in setups with wills - The millionaire must mention a player name, and an item in his will - When the millionaire dies, the player will inherit a fortune, which he will spend on either a gun, vest or a crystal every night (depending on what the millionaire put his his will) - Sided with the village
Briber:
- Once per game, bribes a player to lynch another player - If that player is lynched, the Mafia wins, along with the bribed player - Sided with the mafia
- Once per game, can bring someone back from the dead (if they are still in the room). - That person cannot speak, vote, or be targeted (guns, maf kills, etc), and they still appear as dead to everyone else. - The revived person can perform their original night actions as before, but they are not considered in the maf-town overwhelm count. - Dr. Frankensein wins if he survives.
The "if they are still in the room" is a problem. Perhaps they pick a player night one to be the monster, that player would get a message saying they will be reanimated when they die.
Every night the barber gives a player a moustache That person's role/alignment will not be revealed to investigative roles that night due to his clever moustachioed disguise
Could be sided with the third party and have a separate win condition of successfully thwarting two investigations or something or maybe just sided with the village
- Sided with the mafia - Can send anonymous messages to the whole village (like crier)
Jester - Wins if lynched - Game does not end immediately if Jester is lynched - Can shoot someone after his own lynch.
deletedabout 10 years
Bad Girl

- Once per game, can bring someone back from the dead (if they are still in the room). - That person cannot speak, vote, or be targeted (guns, maf kills, etc), and they still appear as dead to everyone else. - The revived person can perform their original night actions as before, but they are not considered in the maf-town overwhelm count. - Dr. Frankensein wins if he survives.

Complicator : -Must choose a side night one, mafia or town. -If choose mafia, mechanics are same as traitor. -If choose town, mechanics the same as blue.
-using this role instead of blues/traitors will complicate games in that you will not know when/if the game becomes reverse.
