Quick question for people who are better at this than me:
What's the deal with honest meta again? Is it considered OGI if someone has a meta that they stick to and is known by the community / tables a person plays with? (IE "I always and only say "town here" as town", or "I only pinky swear if I'm town").
I don't remember any of the past verdicts on this.
It gives an unfair advantage, how would this not be against the rules?

Meta should just be out and out banned from gameplay. It's not a part of the purpose of the game. Failing that, you could add an option within setup creation that means mafia N1 kill is randomised, as opposed to chosen. This would eradicate any kind of D1 metaclear from the game.
By this, I mean it would be a separate option such as 'double maf' and 'must lynch', whereby it would be 'randomised first kill' or something.
Yeah that's the problem, I'm not sure if mw only does this as town or not, but from what I've gleaned he doesn't do his spiel as mafia. It's honestly not fair when one player tries to clear themselves every game and sticks to this meta when they're town.

tbh theres a difference between being *** mafia+having a different kind of ate, or using it as honest meta, but i think its a little of both
also it sounds like a note or a verbal warning to stop saying that hes AtEing while he is. but if hes used this as mafia before its not honest meta

It's just a bad week right now. A lot of people are vacationing or have crazy work schedules.
i got a note for multiple games, i'm not looking for a straight up violation ~cough ucklar~ but it should just be noted cause in the future it could cause problems
I remember when in the early days there was an "honest meta" player, and after about 100 or so games of it he reneged to get himself lynched as Fool.

zovea cussed me out on skype like a year ago for "starting" this whole ban on meta abuse. Saying it killed em because it made every game cookie cutter.
He kind of has a point, but he's also 100% wrong.

also reading through this thread, and empire said that it was treated as outright cheating. This may be the correct answer and probably makes more sense, but I dont remember.

Jack also said this.
Jack outright caught him rolesharing when Kennedy accidentally MSN'd him over someone else.
And he had the logs+screenshot to prove it.
wait so kennedy has cheated? and he didnt just abuse meta?
