Lucid - We've got your back.

> admin23s: I've decided I'll fight for the site on my own dime.

You're not alone. Tons of us want to donate, and many of us are helping to find alternate solutions. Work with us, communicate with us. It's hard for us to help without an open line of communication.

We have your back.

The ideas presented were ways of putting the burden of EM on its own community and off on him. It's heavy to hold something up just by yourself it requires dedication and time something that he might be lacking.

I carried a website for many years on my own. It wasn't at the size of EM but development was annoying and tiresome but it was fulfilling but at a certain point I got too busy and handed it off to another person who took it in their direction.

If he's at a stage where he wants to move on, the community is here and willing to take up the slack but to take up the slack, the community needs to know what the slack is.

In this case, it's clear that it's fiscal problems.

In which case our question is how much? If it's a question of perpetual fiscal requirements then the question becomes how to enhance the fiscal situation of EM.

If it's something else, then still it's probably going to end up with fiscal problems. If you have money at the end of the day you can do anything with your project.

If I don't have time but I still love my project, and it's earning me money I'd invest the earnings into making it better without using my time. That means hiring someone else to do my job.
That's why there are mods and other staff.

, i don't think it's ONLY money issue rn.

"well Google is removing my income source so I'm probably closing down the site "

Yeah it definitely isn't about money.
deletedover 10 years
dude if he's going to allow donations I'll also do it, but before you start being generous, just think. donations are leading to nothing, i don't think it's only money issue rn.
deletedover 10 years
Wow panda i see you dont care about anything at all

a lot of people are willing to censor themselves and donate money to help lucid do this so im saying yes, we do have lucid's back

I think lucid was clear about what he wants by closing previous topic and writing what he wrote at the end. He's not willig to try hard to save this site, either the appeal works or em is dead (I'd take it back if I'm wrong, but that's how it looks like). I see no reason to blame him, I mean he already did something huge, now he's just fixing bugs and adding mini games, lol. i think he wants to move on (again, only my assumption).

And stop fooling yourselves - it's not about "having lucids back", it's about saving em. haven't seen lucid asking you for suggestions. haven't seen you asking lucid what he really wants to do.

again, he was pretty clear that he doesn't need your help. so if you're posting all of these ideas, you are going against his will, so you don't have his back.

OK I will exchange $75 if you donate to me a ban of Zovea
deletedover 10 years
Well I guess that isn't really a donation more of an exchange of services for money

I'm in favor of a status bar. That way we know exactly how much to donate per month.

make a $1.99 epicmafia app for android/apple and you'll have revenue asap
over 10 years
Should give people a Donation banner thing so we know how much is necessary.

Ie, Goal, Achieved whatnot
Make it max out at a year's worth of hosting/expenses +5-10%

(5-10% being for any unexpected expense increases)

After 8-10 months do it again. If it's not full for the year, you just say well we'll close in x months unless it fills up)

Another thing would be to figure out other ways to monetize it that aren't game changing. Easiest way I'd think would be to enhance graphic mode and expand to the mobile market. Add Buy Costumes whatnot like transformice or funrun or something but that requires someone to donate their graphic skills (not me) but it would monetize other features which do not harm the general Mafia portion of Gameplay which inturn support the game.

Next time I get paid, EM's getting some. Hell yeah we'll save this site.

Never give up, comrades.

Never surrender.

Unfortunately, I am not an adult yet so I can't donate. :c
