Politics General

Golbolcoover 7 years ago

Since some users dislike the political discussions on the Sandbox lobby wall, I’ve decided to make a serious thread where people can discuss political issues/tangentially-related discourse.

Please keep name-calling to a minimum and remember that site rules still apply. While this “debate” is not technically “moderated,” I reserve the right to mute anyone who decides to make this thread all about Jamal or Neanderthals or whatever.

Please just try to use this space to contain conversations that are otherwise derailing in other places.

It is time we pack up our stuff and leave the United States of America as the land is rightfully owned by the Native Americans that were here before us.

To make up for the time we took their land and held them, we will have to give them some women and children so they can rebuild their population.

Thank you everyone for participating.

lmao Cherry is Dark Red, Raspberry is Fuschia, Blueberry is Blue, Apple is Green, Grape is Purple, Orange is Orange, Banana is Light Yellow, Lemon is Yellow, Lime is Yellow-Green, Watermelon is Red, Strawberry is Pink, Cinnamon is Mahogany, Coconut is White, Black Licorice is Black. Like is it that hard to make color associations?

https://www.bonappetit.com/entertaining-style/pop-culture/article/what-is-blue-raspberry-flavor
Common sense suggests that because the field of "red" flavors was already so crowded—cherry, strawberry, watermelon, cinnamon, cranberry, red apple—and there are scarcely any blue foods in nature, raspberry was simply traded from Team Red to Team Blue to avoid confusion among consumers.

It seems highly likely that the downfall of FD&C Red No. 2 played an integral role in birthing blue raspberry. Despite the positive 1957 study, later research continued to link the dye to illnesses, including a 1971 Soviet study that blamed it for cancer. In 1976, in the face of years of growing consumer concerns, the FDA reversed decades of insistence that Red No. 2 was safe and banned it outright, noting that there was significant evidence that the the dye caused tumors in lab rats. (Red No. 2 is still used in the U.K.)

Huh. That's kinda cool, I guess.

Jobe
because women are victims of sexism, that's why blue raspberry exists.

Blue is used to represent male dominance in a naturally female (red) society.

Ofc this is satire, but whatever.
Brambleover 7 years ago
it depends on what candy uses it as a flavor bc ive tasted some sh*t blue raspberry candy before while other times ive had some really good candy with that flavor
