The mod team has recently been discussing how to moderate hipfiring. The current precedent is to consider it a trolling violation in red heart games and a game throwing (GT) violation in competitive games.
We're deciding between the current precedent and two other options.
- Trolling throughout. The idea behind this is that game rules are game rules and that moderation should be standardized between red and gold heart games.
- Game throwing throughout. This plays to the idea that the action of hipfiring is generally done without "playing to win" and as such falls under game throwing.
