My favorite thing about america is that we dont care about your shithole countries and dont keep up with your news, like you do with ours. Who is the King of canada? F*ck if i know, lol
I laughed way harder than I should have internally.
I don't watch the news, or tv even for that matter though. I don't even know what shooting this thread is about.
Tbh i bet every foreigner in this thread knows more about US politics then i do, they're countries are so boring they got nothing better to do but be educated on a country that doesnt care about them
Are there MORE crazy people in america per capita than any other country?
Your ignorance on mental illness is pretty unfortunate, and this type of talk is what impedes the progress of researching and treating mental illness by hurting public perception.
the point of the post wasn't blaming mentally ill people, it was, without readign your post assuming you used the defence that "we should do more BACKGROOUNNND CheKZ on people purchasing guns for mental illness"
and my point is, at what point do you realize that there are mentally ill people everywhere in the world, the only difference is mentally ill people in every other first world country don't have access to 300 million guns.
Oh, so you didn't even read my post, assumed it said something about background checks (which it didn't, at all), and then didn't even go back and read my posts about the effects of popular media.

No one in this thread actually wants to talk about mental illness and the prison warehousing industry. I don't see anyone talk about it except every few weeks when something like this happens.

that's not to say it isn't a problem, but the solution isnt banning guns. it's getting rid of the stigma behind mental illness and making help accessible, and putting stricter regulations on guns, so that getting a gun permit requires actual effort. at least, imo.
Actually, the mentally ill rarely engage in violence against others when engaging in criminality, and the majority of offenses that the mentally ill are convicted of are for disorderly conduct and public disturbance (AKA being mentally ill in public).
Edit: To clarify, when I say "rarely", I mean wrt mass violence. Racism isn't a mental illness.
