well congress won't even allow a floor debate on the subject of banning people on the FBI's "no fly list' (I.e. potential terrorists) from legally purchasing guns and explosives.
"banning guns isnt the solution it won't work" why not ban them anyway, it does no harm? "muh constitution"
Because it requires two thirds of the house, two thirds of the senate, and three fourths state legislatures, and I can name you 25 states that will never do it. Gun aren't getting banned, and more importantly, they aren't going to magically vanish from the country.
So, this is not about being attached to guns, it's about it never happening, so lets COMPROMISE, and meet in the middle and find a logical solution instead of coming up with a simple minded fairy tale solution that will not only never happen but will also never, f****ing, work. So either be smart about this, orrrrr stop meddling into our country's affairs.
Also so many people outside of this country thinks america totes guns around like the wild west, which is not the case
Maybe you should try it and find out firsthand just how much corrections officers do for the public.

Have you ever worked in a prison?
No. I do live next to Susanville, a prisontown that has almost entirely wrenched its local economy to the ground and forced most of its businesses to either fold or work in tandem with the prison.
Yes, that is exactly what I am implying, if not outright saying. There are rehabilitation programs in place in the prison system, but by and large the prison system is currently serving as a warehousing for society's undesirables.
