is the R word a "slur" against? I'm failing to comprehend how a word can universally be a slur without the definition or origin of the word being derogatory.
I'm failing to see why I have 2 violations for a word I was using in context of it's definition:
If nobody cares, then yes ofc it is okay. Why wouldn't it be?
there's nothing to prevent someone who does care from joining the site. that's the whole fricking point

of course, he's using the word in epicmafia games against people who f up. He's not gonna call someone the word who hammered mafia 2 straight days because that wouldn't make sense. That doesn't mean that he sees himself as a better person than people with disabilities or he has hatred for people with disabilites
that still doesnt make its constant use ok tho? especially b/c like connor said you never know who in the game may actually be mentally disabled
Devante17m 56s+1 if you go into every single game as town and use the word (pranay) then you should get a violation, yes. If you in one game out of anger say the word because the clear / the town eff'd up, which in this meta happens far too often then you shouldn't get a violation.

the words shouldn't even be in your vocabulary for it to even be POSSIBLE to slip out.
Yes, let's assume that everyone grew up in an extremely culturally sensitive environment.
that's why the first violation is a warning, dude. it's not rocket science
Yes, because an EpicMafia warning is enough to change a person immediately.
that's not the intent of the warning, the intent of the warning is to let them know it's not tolerated. if they ask why, they can be informed, if they don't, they can just accept it. what we don't want are ITG's who feel they have a right to use words and continue to use them under these leniencies
so you essentially admitted you use the word to provoke. nice.
There's this thing called language, have you heard of it?

theres literally 2-3 in all of my games

do you play EM?
yes, what's your point
at least when I played, R was used constantly to describe minor mistakes/people who mishammered. Nobody cared and if they did, they filed a harassment report or just asked the person to stop.
so because it was constantly used and nobody cared you think its okay?

i bet r***** is censored specifically here because theres more mentally impaired people on epicmafia than any other website / game
like, in slavic countries (and some spanish too, and hell even in areas of England iirc), the homophobic f-slur doesnt have the punch in the gut it does to americans so they use it freely without thinking. im not trying to excuse them, im just saying it is a plausible issue
I found this alarming yet people call me homophobic.

k find me another word to use in the same context that will get both the rational and emotional response I seek when using the word.

with the exception of reclaiming, the words shouldn't even be in your vocabulary for it to even be POSSIBLE to slip out. if you use the word off-site, you're in the wrong, and if you can't stop yourself from using the word, you're still in the wrong, therefore leniency on "slip outs" is literally the most infeasibly illogical thing i've read in this thread

Also we can't all be as perfect as you. I would know, before I started living on my own I didn't curse and found cursing offensive. Now I'm a sailor and couldn't give two s's or f's.

Connor should come with an SJW tag next to his name so people that do not know him can just ignore his posts.
your only counter-point ITT is "sensitive people are bell-ends" so you really have no leg room for ad hom, hope this helps
Yet you're the one dictating what people should or shouldn't have in their vocabulary, completely neglecting the fact that some people grow up in ignorant societies where these things are OKAY, and therefore have these words in their system, which in turn would mean that such words are capable of slipping out.
