is the R word a "slur" against? I'm failing to comprehend how a word can universally be a slur without the definition or origin of the word being derogatory.

I'm failing to see why I have 2 violations for a word I was using in context of it's definition:

if you go into every single game as town and use the word (pranay) then you should get a violation, yes. If you in one game out of anger say the word because the clear / the town eff'd up, which in this meta happens far too often then you shouldn't get a violation.

that's not the intent of the warning, the intent of the warning is to let them know it's not tolerated. if they ask why, they can be informed, if they don't, they can just accept it. what we don't want are ITG's who feel they have a right to use words and continue to use them under these leniencies

at least when I played, R was used constantly to describe minor mistakes/people who mishammered. Nobody cared and if they did, they filed a harassment report or just asked the person to stop.

like, in slavic countries (and some spanish too, and hell even in areas of England iirc), the homophobic f-slur doesnt have the punch in the gut it does to americans so they use it freely without thinking. im not trying to excuse them, im just saying it is a plausible issue

with the exception of reclaiming, the words shouldn't even be in your vocabulary for it to even be POSSIBLE to slip out. if you use the word off-site, you're in the wrong, and if you can't stop yourself from using the word, you're still in the wrong, therefore leniency on "slip outs" is literally the most infeasibly illogical thing i've read in this thread

Also we can't all be as perfect as you. I would know, before I started living on my own I didn't curse and found cursing offensive. Now I'm a sailor and couldn't give two s's or f's.

Yet you're the one dictating what people should or shouldn't have in their vocabulary, completely neglecting the fact that some people grow up in ignorant societies where these things are OKAY, and therefore have these words in their system, which in turn would mean that such words are capable of slipping out.
