is the R word a "slur" against? I'm failing to comprehend how a word can universally be a slur without the definition or origin of the word being derogatory.

the south still has roads, prominent buildings ect with names of confederate generals who fought to keep black people oppressed, people ly the confederate flags in the south still. the south is full of hatred to everyone who isn't a white male so that doesn't surprise me that you would hear that, in the south.
i hear what you're saying devante but like you wrote it's contextual. you have to understand that this is a public space and everyone has different interpretations of that context and reactions to what's said. that in mind just about the best thing we can do is apply a zero-tolerance policy.
yes, your vocabulary is slightly stunted but allowing people to use words that can be slurs in a "non-hateful way" not only is really difficult to moderate, but it comes at the expense of a lot of people's comfort without you realizing it.

the r word between people on this website is one of the stupidest violations to give, you can call a person that doesn't have a learning disability the word without having hatred or resent to people with learning disabilities. I've never once in my life seen or heard anyone actually call someone with a learning disability the word, because i don't think there are that many people in the world who are twisted.
If that's the case, why don't we give people who call other people crazy in games, since people with mental disabilities are sometimes called crazy and that's the term society has labeled on them. Maybe people who call other users crazy should get a HC vio.
