Hello everyone! I would like to ask the people who are interested in this event to participate and contribute as much as possible.
In order for 2 new roles to be added to em, the community has to work together to refine the ideas that are going to be mentioned below. We have to collectively select 2 of the best ideas and make sure their version is the best one possible. The next step would be to come up with some sort of artwork for the selected roles. Lucid mentioned something about rewarding the users behind the artwork that would get selected in the end for those 2 roles.
Jack the Ripper (originally Hypocrite)
Jack the Ripper hates anyone who kills.
Jack the Ripper only wins when the game ends and all murderers are dead.
If Jack the Ripper receives a gun or knife and kills someone with it, he will not consider himself a murderer.
To Jack the Ripper, murderers are killing roles or any other player that has successfully eliminated someone else (shot, stabbed, blown up, etc.)
If a player survives one of these actions, Jack the Ripper will not consider the attacker a murderer.

Cat Lady
Chooses one player every night. The player is instantly alerted that a cat is at their door. They have two options: Kill the cat, and let it go. If you kill the cat, you are roleblocked and the Cat Lady doesn't know who was visited. If you let it go, the Cat Lady learns your role.
Sided with the mafia. (~Her)
Robinhood
Visits two people, taking all items from the first and giving them to the second (cannot visit self either way)
Action fails if trying to steal from a mafia
Sided with the village (~Torreador)
Vice President
If the president dies, takes their place
All townies immediately receive a message of their new president
Attends mafia meetings, and makes them anonymous
Cannot win if they are the vice president (~Alyssa)
Gossiper
Chooses one person every night.
Will see some whispers this person receives/makes.
If lynched at the end of the game, the last mafia can guess who the Seer is for autowin.
If the Seer dies, they will appear as a random (non-mafia) role in the setup and their will will always be blank. If dead, the mafia can still attempt a guess to the Seer's identity at the end of the game.
If there are multiple Seers in a game, only one Seer will know the mafia at any given time.
If there are two mafias and multiple Seers, the knowledge of the mafias will be split between them.

Whistleblower
Once per game can force someone to vote someone else. Vote cannot be OT'D if it is a hammer. Sided with maf

Soldier
If they are the last man standing against a single mafia or third party, the village wins.

PowerTown
Each night chooses a power role from the options provided to him. (the mods should determine the list)

What is your favorite role mentioned in this thread?
Mafia 2: sided with the mafia. Wakes up first at night. If any member of the mafia is lynched, they lose.
Traitor 2: sided with the mafia, but not a member. Their meeting has no visits or actions, it only reveals the mafia.
Templar 2: sided with the village. Wakes up between traitor 2 and detective 2. All Templars in meeting are revealed.
Detective 2: sided with the village. Chooses either a player's card, or two center cards. Choosing reveals the role underneath them, instantly.
Switcher (old maid mechanics, but not a good name here): sided with the village. Chooses one player to switch cards with. Switcher sees their new role.
Troublemaker (exclusive to this setup): sided with the village. Chooses two players to switch roles. This switch does not reveal roles.
Fool 2 (doesn't have town win condition): wins if they get lynched.
Amnesiac 2: switches role with a role in the center. Takes that role.
Small bug: Ok I'm not sure if you made it so mastermind can't have a sidekick or something, but I've never seen that happen before. But I was just in a game where I was sidekick but had no meeting (I was alone) and was so confused. It turns out my I was the Usurper's sidekick.
There are other roles like Hunter, doppelganger (nomad) and insomniac (sleepwalker, but different), but I think that those would confuse the game a bit too much
Werewolf is Mafia 2 (meets, doesn't kill) Villager is still Villager Minion is Traitor 2 (reveals mafia 2 to them) Seer is Detective 2 (instant report) Mason is Templar 2 (meeting without action) Robber is Switcher Troublemaker (I like that name, this would probs be an exclusive to this gamemode because if there were mafias switched to town, they would out their partners) Tanner is Fool Drunk is Amnesiac 2 (chooses card in the middle, nobody dies)
if you want to make a game type that does that, it should probably have a toggle that changes the rules/mechanics, so instead of Detective 1 (investigate at night, get report at day), the One Night Stand mode toggles to Detective 2 (investigate to get report instantly).
Steelix, if you post a list of the One Night roles that we don't have analogues for (mostly the swapping ones) then we can start working to replicate it.
For Self-Doubt: I'm thinking the meeting should always just be a blank meeting, even for roles that don't take action. Then once they get their reports or figure out from deduction what their action is or isn't, they figure out their roles. Oracles and crystals would still be able to play a role in this setup.
For One Night, I might actually have a role that could help flesh it out:
Mermaid: -The Mermaid does not want to be a mermaid anymore. -The mermaid is assigned a random role in the setup that they want to be. They visit one person at night to take their role. -If the mermaid guesses correctly, they swap roles. -The new mermaid will be assigned a new role they want to be and the cycle continues. -If the mermaid guesses incorrectly, they die. -Cannot win unless the siren is also in the game and wins.
it was good ww/maid mix, up until the part about the siren. That was too far.

it would give something at first, you do that meeting, and then it unreveals because you might be something else. That would be good in role switching
that's interesting, maybe flesh it out a bit more with Golbolco, could probably replicate the mechanics of One Night really easily by having an extra role or two that does swapping

Can we make the partyhost party votes stick when they're voted.
I just played a game and people spamming it makes it impossible to shoot with party crasher...
