Hello everyone! I would like to ask the people who are interested in this event to participate and contribute as much as possible.

In order for 2 new roles to be added to em, the community has to work together to refine the ideas that are going to be mentioned below. We have to collectively select 2 of the best ideas and make sure their version is the best one possible. The next step would be to come up with some sort of artwork for the selected roles. Lucid mentioned something about rewarding the users behind the artwork that would get selected in the end for those 2 roles.

Jack the Ripper (originally Hypocrite)

  • Jack the Ripper hates anyone who kills.
  • Jack the Ripper only wins when the game ends and all murderers are dead.
  • If Jack the Ripper receives a gun or knife and kills someone with it, he will not consider himself a murderer.
  • To Jack the Ripper, murderers are killing roles or any other player that has successfully eliminated someone else (shot, stabbed, blown up, etc.)
  • If a player survives one of these actions, Jack the Ripper will not consider the attacker a murderer. (~Jennings)

Cat Lady

  • Chooses one player every night. The player is instantly alerted that a cat is at their door. They have two options: Kill the cat, and let it go. If you kill the cat, you are roleblocked and the Cat Lady doesn't know who was visited. If you let it go, the Cat Lady learns your role.
  • Sided with the mafia. (~Her)

Robinhood

  • Visits two people, taking all items from the first and giving them to the second (cannot visit self either way)
  • Action fails if trying to steal from a mafia
  • Sided with the village (~Torreador)

Vice President

  • If the president dies, takes their place
  • All townies immediately receive a message of their new president
  • Attends mafia meetings, and makes them anonymous
  • Cannot win if they are the vice president (~Alyssa)

Gossiper

  • Chooses one person every night.
  • Will see some whispers this person receives/makes.
  • Gossiper's action does not count as a visit.
  • Sided with the mafia. (~Soluciones)

(revising) the Seer

  • Knows all mafia from the beginning of the game.
  • If lynched at the end of the game, the last mafia can guess who the Seer is for autowin.
  • If the Seer dies, they will appear as a random (non-mafia) role in the setup and their will will always be blank. If dead, the mafia can still attempt a guess to the Seer's identity at the end of the game.
  • If there are multiple Seers in a game, only one Seer will know the mafia at any given time.
  • If there are two mafias and multiple Seers, the knowledge of the mafias will be split between them.

Whistleblower

  • Once per game can force someone to vote someone else. Vote cannot be OT'D if it is a hammer. Sided with maf (Will create more tension in selfing/hammering based setups (~Moldyches)

Soldier

  • If they are the last man standing against a single mafia or third party, the village wins.
  • Sided with the village. (~XFire)

PowerTown

  • Each night chooses a power role from the options provided to him. (the mods should determine the list)
  • Night meeting goes accordingly
  • Sided with the village

PowerMafia

  • Each night chooses a mafia role from the list.
  • Night meeting goes accordingly
  • Sided with the mafia

Gossiper needs a way to tell which whispers are gossiper-only whispers and leaked whispers. People can easily test others who the gossiper is by having them out the leaked ones, which the gossiper doesn't know.

Have gossiped whispers colored in purple ect. or have a text to the left of them "Gossiped: *Whisper*"

role:

Tornado Inducer:
- once per game, can induce a tornado at night (cannot do this on n1)
-This will cause everyone to randomly swap roles
-One person will become a blue villager
-3rd party role. Cannot win.

Fwiw half of the lynchpin of the ninja role is that it doesn't visit.
The other half is that it kills bomb.
Imo the first role could work as a standalone with either ability because it's effectively a weaker hooker.

The second half makes it so orc can be janned for example.

Its not stronger than ninja just different.

If I'm gonna spam up the chat I may as well add what's the possibility of having more multisetups.

Or alternatively having a role slot that has multiple roles in it.

So the role editor would look like
Blue/Blue/Blue [Town box] / Cop/ Doc/ Hooker/Nilla/ [Maf Box].
Then you could set what roles are allowed into each box.

So maybe the Town box has watcher/tracker/bodyguard/bomb

and the mafia box has
framer/strongman/stalker/ninja.

The current max for multisetups is 11. But if I wanted to create the worst setup in the world where any pr can be with any pr I'll run out of slots.

I tried to create a setup with 3 blues 3 spies and 3 prs that can each be one of 6 random prs.

The setup ends up devolving into which prs can be with what rather than a pure role test.

It's just some ideas i'm putting out since I'm not sure about the feasibility of them.

So I decided to edit some blaive sprites to create some that I THINK match what we have at least kinda.


Possessed villager.
Sided with the town.
Appears to self as villager.
Reveals as [?].
Visits whoever the mafia kill at night.
If no kill it doesn't visit.


Hypnotist.
Sided with the mafia.
Participates in mafia meetings.
Each night can target a player with a hypnotist meeting.
Targeted player visits whoever the mafia kill at night in addition to all other visits.
(IE. cop would visit two people if tracked and only get a report on their investigation.)


Solo Operative.
Sided with the mafia.
Participates in mafia meetings.
Whoever they target with their mafia kill meeting will be killed by the mafia that night.
Other players will either visit the kill or visit no one. (depending on whether they're voting with him or not.)

Background ain't transparent as always. Just thought I'd put this out here.

lucid please consider my suggestion for incorporating roles i feel like it would be a very efficient way and i cant imagine it would be that hard to code as it would be similar to emotes

Supervillain is extremely broken. Just about every game I've been in with it has the message "Your nemesis is undefined". Same for other players.

I don't know how to edit these but this is my first attempt at this.

Freaker

- 3rd Party
- Knows whats scammin from New York to LA
- Each night, all players can choose to call the Freaker
- Players will recieve one accurate random report (cop, det, snoop, journ, priest, ect)
- Wins if alive and receives "x" calls. (I'm thinking 5)

He probably should be anti-town too honestly. Like making a deal with the devil if youre desperate.
