This is a dedicated thread for users to bounce around and brainstorm on ideas for new roles, items, game mechanics or anything else to improve and build upon our beloved Mafia game.
Back in 2015 Sims made a thread asking if anyone had any ideas for roles since Lucid was looking to make some new ones (found here: https://epicmafia.com/topic/71173?page=1) That thread's dead now, but it's always good to try to bring the community together and come up with new stuff for the game.
Some of you might know my reputation for designing new roles and my passion for Mafia. EpicMafia is a pretty cool website and can always use some new stuff to spice up and remix the usual game formula, and I know a few of you have ideas of your own.

You connect it to minority votes because the mafia are the endangered minority that the majority is trying to vote out and poachers go above and beyond with that in trying to rid the world of them
I was thinking Poacher because poachers are often associated with endangered animals, which I connected to minority votes in my head somehow. Technically I based the sprite off of the old Victorian explorers of the 19th century who were also called poachers, but if the name doesn't work then how about Sportsman?
I absolutely love that sprite and the role's concept, but I'm not sure about calling it Poacher... it sort of has a criminal connotation to it, you know? More suited to a mafia role. I can't really think of anything better though .-.
Gambler (revision) - Each day, picks a player to gamble at night - Both players will pick rock, paper, or scissors in separate meetings - The loser dies the next day unless there is a tie - Wins after 2 successful gambits - Third party
Duelist (revision) - Each day challenges a player to a duel at sunset - They will both receive a gun and learn eachother's name at night - The guns will be anonymous and miss anyone except the participants - The loser's will won't be revealed - Wins after 3 victories - Sided with third party
Pimp: Sided with the mafia. Can seduce any of the female town roles (virgin, secretary, granny, etc.) to become a hooker. The third party women are strong and independent and don't need no man. They will permanently disable the pimp's power of seduction.
Hypnotist: Sided with the mafia. Chooses one person to "hypnotize" and one person to visit. The hypnotized person will forced to visit the person selected by the hypnotist. Hypnotist only visits the hypnotized. If the hypnotist is visited, the trance will be broken and the person will not be hypnotized.
And my favorite, which may need some work, but I like the basic concept.
Nuclear Bomber: Third Party. Has a nuclear bomb they can use once. Every night can choose to set their bomb off at the start of the day. Can also set it off anytime during the day. If they set their bomb off, everyone in the town not protected dies - including the bomber. Anyone protected will not die. The bomber must ensure he's protected (and will not be killed by bomb, etc.) before setting his bomb off. Wins if they are the only person alive after setting off their bomb.
A) Meetings may not show up at all. (At least with survivor/warlock) B) Meetings may show up AFTER the 3rd has done their action, but can't chat.(at least with Killer)
