Snake Competition

The Battle Snakes competition is here!

The competition has begun!

You may join the competition at any time, the way the points are set up allows you to always have a chance to catch up so don't worry that other people have a head start.

It will end on midnight of December 31st and you must submit your final game before that time.

Winners will receive up to a $10 steam card or $10 worth of em tokens(60). I will ask the winners at the end of the competition which they would prefer.

How to get points

Once the competition begins, screenshot all wins you have against other people on the player list. No points are rewarded for winning against non-competitors.

+1 point for every competitor you beat.

+1 bonus point for every competitor you beat that is currently ranked above you. (+1 additional point if they have at least 50 more points than you)

+1, 2, 3 bonus points for snek length.

The length bonus points are awarded by; Length ≥75, 1 point Length ≥140, 2 points Length ≥200, 3 points

Sweetie69 or I will reply to each screenshot with how many points it is worth and then I will update the thread with your new score.

Rules for your screenshot

  • Must include url, player list, game window, and, of course, the winner.

  • Game must take place after competition start (I will release a game number it has to be passed once competition is starting)

  • Game must be at least 6 players. The players do not all have to be competitors.

Use snipping tool if you don't have a mac. Use command shift 4 if you are on a mac

Battle Snakes is very glitchy and will sometimes kick everyone out and when you return everyone is dead and noavis - screenshot and that game will not count.

I've decided to extend the sign up time until 2pm (2 hours from now) since jar1101 messaged me asking to join since they only just heard of the competition.

Note: Jabzz, monaaaaaaaaa, and Mekena are not on the game list at the top of the thread because only 30 people fit so don't forget about these guys!

All wins must be in a game after game 5,588,012 so be sure to include the url in your screenshots or I won't be able to count it!

Remember that there is no way to lose points and you get bonus points for beating people who currently have more points than you so it's best to play as much as you can.

Because you get bonus points for beating people currently ranked higher than you I ask that you post the screenshot as soon as you can after the game, preferably right after. I'll try to judge everything in order according to game number and will make adjustments as needed but I would greatly appreciate it if you could post them asap rather than collecting a few and posting all at once.

For those of you who don't spend a lot of time in sandbox, typically whenever you start up a 4 player game in sandbox it will fill pretty quickly and before you know it multiple 8 player games will be going.
