Like, no sh!t, in the story he gets executed and he doesn't expect it, so there is some problem with the reasoning right? But that problem is the dammn paradox, not a simple oversight on the part of the hanging dude that you are instantly identifying.

Sirius you'd get laughed out of Philosophy 101 if you really can't understand this

we don't know he will do this come thursday lmao. he could be dead thursday! that's the trick of the problem dude. FORECASTED EXPECTATION =/= REAL EXPECTATION
i'll have a look at it. pretty sure i'm right tbh. u should really try not just waxing ur D' off famous names bro
It is not possible for it to be Friday from the very beginning, automatically. It is an established rule of the paradox
wrong. it's possible for it to be friday on every day except thursday. again, the problem plays expectation off against expectation. on sunday, u can not expect friday and then you'd be killed on friday and not have expected it sunday. only on thursday can u be killed on friday and have expected it and have that expectation break the overarching expectation of u being killed within the week. it's a trick of forecasting expectation bro, like i said
wrong. Belovedprincess, since he would know on thursday that friday would be the lynch day, he also knows that on monday, friday cannot be the lynch day, because on Thursday night, he would know. They could not possibly surprise him on Friday, then, so friday can NEVER be an option.
friday isn't a day he can't expect on monday bro. again, it's a trick of FORECASTING EXPECTATION. only on the thursday can he actually rule out friday as a day he can't be killed because he will be expecting it because it's the last day. if we're ruling out fridays on mondays, then he can be killed on friday and not have expected it monday. get it? forecasted expectation =/= actual expectation
Except that you don't warp from monday to the unexpected friday to kill him. You progress through time to Thursday, at which point, as you so eloquently explain, he can rule out friday since he will expect it. Since we know he will do this come thursday, friday is never on the table in the first place.
I suppose Shakespeare "wrote" it, since in one view of time, in the first "instance" of time or whatever, he wrote it by himself, before time was ever tampered with. Thus, he is the original writer. ? I mean in no timeline did the future guy actually write the book.
Achiless wil never reach 2 beacauset here are infinnity numbers between 1 and 2 and the turtle is 2 since it had head start.
Achilles needs to transverse an infinite amount of points/numbers to get ahead of the turtle. He can do this quite easily in a finite amount of time.

The Bootstrap Paradox :
Imagine that a time traveller buys a copy of Hamlet from a bookstore, travels back in time to Elizabethan London, and hands the book to Shakespeare, who then copies it out and claims it as his own work. Over the centuries that follow, Hamlet is reprinted and reproduced countless times until finally a copy of it ends up back in the same original bookstore, where the time traveller finds it, buys it, and takes it back to Shakespeare. Who, then, wrote Hamlet?
Whoever solves it , gets a cookie from me. Since i solved it.

It cannot be Friday, because the rules say so. Get it? I didn't post that rule the first time because i didn't think you'd be stupid enough to try and solve it.

Wrong. You have fundamentally misunderstood what a paradox is.
