This question has been on my mind for a while now. Should people on welfare have the right to vote? Discuss. I am merely interested in others' opinions.
If you voted 'Other' and chose to comment below, please elaborate. Don't be a dips*** like Diabolik
Since some people clearly can't see what I voted in the poll, I think that people on welfare should be allowed to vote.
I agree with you, the government's job is to protect the property of people. In fact, i'm pretty sure that 99% of the people on welfare are on welfare due to taxes, if we didn't have taxes then those people would either have enough money to not qualify for welfare or they'd be dead and will be stopped from stealing from the hardworking Americans who are on the verge of welfare. Either way, we should get rid of welfare, and I think the best way to do that is to stop the people on welfare from voting.
All this article has told me is that low income families pay "virtually" no taxes. What it doesn't say is that even small taxes affect these families a lot!

Melody: The government shouldn't give money to the very-needy because it takes money from the little-bit-needy.

Melody: but that money is not being taken from the little-bit-needy
"Low income families pay virtually no estate tax." Well no duh, they don't have homes. They rent.

Giga - if people on welfare couldn't vote, then everybody else would vote to end welfare, but that would bring the welfare recipients back into the voting population, only worse off than they were before. So your thread is kind of silly my man
