This question has been on my mind for a while now. Should people on welfare have the right to vote? Discuss. I am merely interested in others' opinions.
If you voted 'Other' and chose to comment below, please elaborate. Don't be a dips*** like Diabolik
Since some people clearly can't see what I voted in the poll, I think that people on welfare should be allowed to vote.
@KHNM If I was trying to only seek out my sources and block the rest, I think I'd call you the 17 year old girl who needs to shut up and wait before she tries to debate. Instead, I'm actively reading your opinions and trying to learn as well as I can.
You learn the most by debating, and that's why I do it. I need to find my loopholes.

Melody - you need to learn the difference between biased and unbiased sources. If you only seek out sources whose only purpose is to promote the belief you already hold, how will you ever learn anything new?
I know it isn't the norm to side a lot with this belief, but I do. I realize that America today is not cut out for this system, but I think it should always be our goal to avoid using government funds for charity work, and instead work towards a country of charitable people who would help their neighbors in a time of need.
Not sure any of you can understand that, feel free to sandblast. I think everyone gets that my beliefs often are different from the norm, but I do like to argue it. :) At least this 17 year old girl likes to think about these things.

if you don't take care of yourself, nobody will (unless you are a welfare recipient)

well, you should. taking care of yourself is a skill that takes practice. do it a little bit at a time. start with just being sure you brush your teeth twice a day, or go for a jog each day, or something you can easily accomplish. it's about the journey of self-improvement, not the destination. your attitude will shift, and taking care of yourself will become second nature.
