Welfare and Voting

over 10 years

This question has been on my mind for a while now. Should people on welfare have the right to vote? Discuss. I am merely interested in others' opinions.

If you voted 'Other' and chose to comment below, please elaborate. Don't be a dips*** like Diabolik

Since some people clearly can't see what I voted in the poll, I think that people on welfare should be allowed to vote.

i think the government should take 25% of kelly's time and make her spend it with you malaka

aww, but i don't really need the time. The government is doing good giving 10 minutes of her time to homeless guys in alleys.

schoolwork is dumb because it trains you to think that everything of value you do will be assigned to you by someone else. the most valuable things in life are things you do on your own, without someone having told you to do them (and incidentally, it's these things that also make you rich)

Yeah, this is why I don't agree with doing chores.

I don't think anyone is saying that charity is bad, people are just saying that it isn't sufficient. Any society with a bunch of hungry and homeless people is bound to fail.

Ik, Ik. But I'm just saying we can work towards a more charitable people. That's really all I mean.

Yeah thats true, imagine if everyone gave up a percentage of their income(depending on how much they need it) in order to help out those who were really struggling in life. Oh well, sucks that it will never happen in the real world.

well yeah everybody does that for a while malaka - no problem there. that's good - i don't know how people who aren't raised with a work ethic are ever supposed to get one, and that's why i worry about kids not ever doing chores.

Honestly, when I become rich enough I'll probably just hire people to do chore stuff for me, but if kids do other stuff like schoolwork, there is no reason that they should have no work ethic.

I did tons of chores and my work ethic got me into a very nice job, Im glad my parents didnt spoil me.
