Unfortunately, Google decided to shut down the Adsense anyhow. I've asked for an appeal, but if they do not reply by the end of the month, I will be shutting down the site. Thanks for the good times, but I suppose it's time for me to move on.
open source (parts of) em and let each community run off with it. each new website can deal with funding on their own - most of them would pay out of their own pockets to pay for this little hobby.
I've experienced this issue with YTMND and other sites. If the site isn't to be guys you will ruin your memories by having it on life support rather than going out on a high note. Just hope that the appeal works.
What's really upsetting about all of this is that lucid refuses to communicate with us. He'll post "the sites dead guys, see ya" and we'll all sit here pleading and trying to help, but he won't respond or acknowledge us. There are many valid solutions, but he just doesn't want to hear them.
Lucid, not that you'll read this, but I've done a lot to help you and this site over the years. Many of the people in this thread have as well. We care about the site, we've spent a lot of time here. You're making us feel like you're giving up on us, all because of some shithead (Riot) on the internet. It's not right.
And I in particular am upset. You and I used to have a line open and we were able to discuss and improve on the site behind the scenes without people having to to argue with me simply for being me. You listened. Then you stopped because I mentioned Arcbell, which was a situation that exploded because you didn't listen. I'm sure that's another reason you're untrusting or willing to give up on us. It's not fair - we tried to warn you, we tried to find solutions, we tried to help.

The whole site would need a content wipe, not just the forums. The closed reports for instance had an ad on it I believe, which is filled with non-clean content for obvious reasons, games would need to be wiped with a censor and content filter, comments would need to be cleared, etc
^ let's you view web pages as they were years ago. There's a lot of old EM versions here and I'm sure it'll be a pleasant trip down memory lane for a lot of you.
There's nothing wrong with suggesting silly solutions bumpers. Lucid will act logically about it. One of those silly solutions might actually work so let them try and come up with a thousand bad ideas if they want to. A good one might pop up.

why do i feel only bumpers has a brain here. I used to think pranay was somewhat smart but now i see him randomly grasping at straws not looking at this realistically.
If this decision truly is final, and won't depend on our actions, then I suppose there's nothing we can do to that end.

The problem is we are already on their radar now. There is too much hassal to try to walk on thin ice all the time as well. A relatively small site like us can't fight most allegations.
Please review how Adsense works. You can't magically reuse your existing program on a new site, otherwise you'd see constant rebrandings and reopening of blacklisted sites.
