Unfortunately, Google decided to shut down the Adsense anyhow. I've asked for an appeal, but if they do not reply by the end of the month, I will be shutting down the site. Thanks for the good times, but I suppose it's time for me to move on.
i don't think lucid will want the site to be sustained through donations, and i also don't think he'll sell the site to anyone. if the site does have to get shut down, im sure a lot of people are going to clone it, so you can all go there.

In case you haven't heard, I recall reading somewhere that he said he made a career change geared more toward programming and entertainment. Maybe wrong or only half true, but I do specifically remember him telling us to get into programming because it was a good skill to have.
Max abandoned it as the site said it could sustain itself with donations and no updates. It didn't work obviously, I can mention many other sites that had to go though the same.
We need to assume that Lucid has a life outside of EM and this is a tiny part of his life now and he really doesn't care enough to try to salvage this site. So if it works out with the appeal GREAT if it doesn't than Boo Hoo, this site is done and that means he can work more on his OTHER websites and his Career.
Lucid spent so much time making so many changes day in day out. Making so many new icons. Making so many new small games. So many custom lobbies people own. He likes it. He will keep this up.

if the problem is people post porn sites implement a warning saying "are you sure you want to go to this site?" maybe google will be happy with that and give ads back
Donations aren't a stable source of income, so don't think in terms of that. It also can't come directly from the userbase's pockets because this isn't set up to be that kind of site.
Pranay, in honour of epicmafia, I suggest the following names for your future kids (and their cousins):
Epic and Mafia (twins or strictly girl/boy, not the same sex) Grudgelynch Scumhunt CounterC (maybe a lovechild from a black woman) Lynch-me-and-follow-my-reads (maybe a child with mental disorders) A&D, VDLI (put random vowels in)
First thing is first, if lucid was interested in setting up a temporary lifeline to the site so it could keep running a couple months, that'd already be on the table.
We need to assume that lucid will only be able to continue if there's a permanent, source of the same revenue he was getting from Adsense, something stable that he won't need to worry about sustaining on top of his regular investment of time on the site.

I don't think lucid or anyone with a head on their shoulders would condone this kind of deceptive solution.
