Unfortunately, Google decided to shut down the Adsense anyhow. I've asked for an appeal, but if they do not reply by the end of the month, I will be shutting down the site. Thanks for the good times, but I suppose it's time for me to move on.
Really? I might be remembering wrong but it blew up around the time I played a few years ago. I came back a few months back and saw how little the community grew since then and saw all of my old friends gone. If this is the peak, then why would adsense be cut? We'd be making more money than ever.
As for my personal feelings, it either has to be Lucid trolling or something, don't see how EM's continual loss of community members over the years has been able to keep up with this apparent growing site cost
There's never been such a high amount of players on EM, what? Back when I started 6 years ago you had to message people to manage one game, 3 years later you still had to play by schedule. 2011 and now were the peaks.
god dang it, now everyone on this site is going to have to argue endlessly with random people they meet in the starbucks and it is going to be awkward and it is going to cause a scene!!
So wait, this site was run for 5+ years, I've played on for the first few back when it was REALLY new, and it's being shut down because of cut ad support?
Lucid, I've never really met or talked to you, but I have played with you in the early days of the site, and man I do have to say I never expected it to come down to this.

Also don't understand why ad companies even use ads or pay people to show an ad because they should know by now that we buy what we buy because we want to and not because of a stupid minigame banner malware scheme set-up at the side of a news/game page. Guess it appeals to some, but they have to know we hate them because of stupid they are at times.
What if tokens became something of a currency you used to play minigames? Like those 25 cent games at the arcade.
people would never play minigames. ever.

It's not about trust, it's about money. With the good portion of money lost, it's going to be really hard to keep this website up. Honestly, I'm agreeing with Bumpers here. The best motive is to just wait. Don't be too optimistic or pessimistic, just be patient. If lucid wants to call it quits, then so be it. I respect whatever decision is made, although I will be unhappy if it's goodbye.
