Unfortunately, Google decided to shut down the Adsense anyhow. I've asked for an appeal, but if they do not reply by the end of the month, I will be shutting down the site. Thanks for the good times, but I suppose it's time for me to move on.
People like souris and DouradaGrelhada , Nightofthelivingcats, just to name a few, joked openly and tried to put as many profanities they could fit in all of their sentences ending with F*** google. I mean screaming Vive la Resistance was perfectly fine. No cursing, a childish thing to do. But some people feel like they prove their honour by belittling others... its sad really
None of this would've happened if action was took when it was requested. I'm not blaming the mods and admins, as I know how backbreaking this can get when the s*** turns on you. BUT.
1: I feel the EM community wasn't sufficiently warned. If you tell a child not to do something 80% of children WILL do it just to spite you. It's in our nature. If we had a forum control/sensor implemented while we could've days ago or as I suggested when the ToS problem came up, having to get accounts approved of before playing and further verified to post on forums.
2. If everyone would stop crying about donations and form a team, a sort of get-together to plan a last chance unified appeal to google, maybe we would stand a chance and get the AdSense back. I agree with cleanwiping the forums. AND getting mods in a varied timezone that have times to monitor. So that 24/7 someones awake and watching.
BTW, this is a new account so if anyone is looking at my profile going "wow he is old at all he recently joined" I left my old account because I was much younger and childish. I joined back WAY before SDS even became popular, I even know the guy who made it IRL.
Also, this has 10k views. 10,000 people have read this thread since it was posted TWO HOURS AGO. I guess I was wrong about the community, but DAMN. How do you manage to cut adsense on a sight with 10k+ community members who are all collectively trying to find a way to keep this wonderful sight up?
This is like a TBT to when Pokemon Crater was shut down.
Also, I've been at EM for almost 5 years and I never had a problem jumping into a game, never had to schedule things. Maybe it was harder in the middle of the night Atlantic time though, I wouldn't know.
There's always been a steady amount of people evaluating the game or playing it as the latest game for a week/month. Adsense isn't being cut for the lack of players if that's what you're confused about.
