Since some users dislike the political discussions on the Sandbox lobby wall, I’ve decided to make a serious thread where people can discuss political issues/tangentially-related discourse.
Please keep name-calling to a minimum and remember that site rules still apply. While this “debate” is not technically “moderated,” I reserve the right to mute anyone who decides to make this thread all about Jamal or Neanderthals or whatever.
Please just try to use this space to contain conversations that are otherwise derailing in other places.

OKAY JFTR i did not mean everything that i said in a literal sense. For most of it, it involved context in other responses I made to other people's posts. If anybody has any issues and wants to ask me about what I meant by a certain thing, pm me.
Don’t bother replying trying to defend yourself or claim you didn’t do anything of the sort. The evidence is there for anyone to see. Here’s one last piece of advice, as someone who still has a shred of hope you’ll turn out okay in the end: sometimes, being compassionate and self-critical is more important than looking smart or winning a argument.
Jacob, there is no combination of words in the English language that, when put together, can accurately describe how disappointed I am in you. That someone would pretend to be a female survivor of violent r*pe just to manipulate others into sharing their own true stories, double down when confronted, and then turn right around and victim-blame real women who have actually experienced that life-altering trauma — that someone would dismiss movements towards progress in human rights, demand members of marginalized groups put in the emotional labor of “debating” him so that he’ll stop spewing that poisonous, ignorant garbage, and in the same breath, mock those people for not wanting to engage in what he so thinly disguised as “civil discussion” — is vile to a degree I never would have expected from you when we first met. Your strict military upbringing can only win you so much leeway. When will you see that people don’t hate you because you’re a cishet white man, but instead because you are so deeply self-absorbed and pickled in internalized bigotry that you put off everyone with half a sense of decency and annoy anyone left over out of their mind?

I don’t like the political compass either much because I think it’s unrepresentative, but the better model would be a 3D sphere or something and humans are averse to that for whatever reason. It’s popular though so I used it.
Personally I would say that the political compass is quite limited in it's goals and lacks nuance for most thoughts ( the most popular one having a intentional american libertarian stance). Despite being classed as authoritarian the Bolsheviks on most political compasses would actually be more liberal than most social democracies but I digress.

Personally, I would MUCH rather have poor people from central america entering our nation trying to improve their lives, than whites from Europe coming here with their college education, making money, and than leaving with it back to Sweden or wherever
Also, back to what JohnMiller (implied): why are so many women still buying women's razors if it's relative male counterpart is ASTRONOMICALLY cheaper? How has the female razor industry not collapsed?
