Since some users dislike the political discussions on the Sandbox lobby wall, I’ve decided to make a serious thread where people can discuss political issues/tangentially-related discourse.
Please keep name-calling to a minimum and remember that site rules still apply. While this “debate” is not technically “moderated,” I reserve the right to mute anyone who decides to make this thread all about Jamal or Neanderthals or whatever.
Please just try to use this space to contain conversations that are otherwise derailing in other places.

okay, this might be true, but as for myself, I am a logical thinker and a quick reactor. if there was a threat that i would be faced with, i would be able to assess the situation even through fear.
there have been times where I have nearly died going running out in dangerous areas for competition, and I have been very afraid, but in that split second I can assess everything and make a choice that would be most beneficial to my survival and my well-being.
these articles have very few sources compared to some of the other articles.
one of them literally says the exact argument that we agreed on earlier, that products that are marketed to one sex may be used by the other. So even IF items marketed towards women have a higher price, women would have the choice to go against the grain if they wanted to. And conversely, men would have to pay MORE to go cross-advertising, and women would pay LESS to get products marketed for the opposite sex.
Also, as I said, my state is one of a few states (idk, might be a bit more), that has proposed and approved that tampons, pads, and birth controls would not be taxed, whereas emergency medical equipment such as wheelchairs, crutches, oxygen tanks, and stuff would STILL be taxed. This goes to show that there is more caring thought for the average woman than there is to EMERGENCY VICTIMS
if you have seen the news lately, any allegation causes a lot of backlash against the accused
tell that to literally every victim of sexual abuse im sure theyd be happy
yes, they should know that it all happens after they come out about something.
also there is no reason why you should be greedy enough to let yourself get r@ped so you can get a supply of money, because you are subjecting yourself to a nonstop bullying situation, giving the perpetrator power over you, getting your body violated, and managing to cream away a few dirty bucks when you can conversely get rid of the threat before it can reach others, show your worth, and earn a few bucks the right way, WITHOUT getting your body exploited and your life ruined.
i see nothing in any of the articles i linked that say anything about maternity leave or overtime (which are still irrelevant to the wage gap anyways)

it is a bad thing. there are whole beauty standards defined by how much you paint yourself. some stuff straight up causes damage like whitening tools. you've got young girls who are making themselves look like adults cause wow god forbid A Femoid leave the house without makeup men "don't like" wearing makeup because that A Woman Thing You Know and That's Gay. societal expectations aren't simple to opt out of, esp when men refuse to evaluate and change themselves
Trauma, shock, shame, fear, etc.... these are all reasons why a victim of such wouldn't come out about it sooner, its just how the human mind handles traumatic events. Also, victims of it that come out with these stories DO get backlack for it - not just the accused. Ppl will even get hatemail for coming out against these people.
Also these stats are found out by interviews and recounts of people who had experienced it in the past, they're not just pulled out of thin air lol
