Mod Moderation System

There needs to be a system in place that would allow mods to be properly measured in there ability to handle reports fairly and properly. I very much doubt that there is some one who consistently looks over every report and evaluates if mods are making the correct verdicts.

Why not implement a way to allow the community to "vote" on the end report verdicts and let the players decide if they believe the decision is fair or not. This would prevent any sort of mod abuse and allows the people who run the site an easy way to evaluate wether or not the mods are doing there job well. This also would be helpful for mods in the appeal process, as mods would be able to read the results and if the overwhelming majority of people believe the verdict given was incorrect, they know that the report needs to be reassessed.

One possible way to do this would be to implement a poll after a report decision has been made. Mods would still have the ultimate power in the final decision, but at least this way we give the community an easy route to help improve and monitor the site.

I mean i still believe on this forum platform it would still be more "No" then "Yes" but to think that all those players actually read and made up there mind on the issue is arrogant.

There are situations where players are definitely given unfair vio's or not given any at all when they clearly deserve them, even after appeals... There needs to be a way to hold the mods that make these mistakes accountable.

Exactly this isn't a punishment at all, like you said no one is perfect, some times people make mistakes and now heres a route to help correct them.

? The majority of experienced players would def be able to "overpower" the experienced players with out a good grasp of the rules.

The fact of the matter is that once you designate people as mods they need to have a good understanding of the rules and the vios, the general player base does not. The mods are also expected to be held accountable for their actions and put actual thought and effort into reports, whereas the general player base could just vote however they like; not even read a game in question; vote so their friend doesn't get a vio; use alts to skew the poll; or just troll the polls in general cause they can do whatever they want.

Your idea doesn't work in any capacity. The vast majority of reports don't even get appealed because people are aware of how they broke the rules and just accept where they messed up.

I think the amount of people who would care enough to take the polls seriously are the people who already read and comment on reports as it is now.

Please counter all the reasons I pointed out that you ignored, ty.[/quote]There would be requirements such as score in whitch most experienced players have a preaty good grasp of the rules and even if one or two dont its a poll so the majority would of overrule the uneducated minority. They would need to have tons of alts/friends (which mods have the ability to see) But in my experience the more experienced players are less likely to troll or abuse the system. Plus the mods would still hold the final decision so if a bunch of alts or friends did impact the final vote the mods would be able to clearly see that the vio initially given was def fair.

This system is not for the majority of reports its for the select few that are actually not given the proper vio.

You can comment on a report before the decision has been made but afterwards any comment you make would be ignored.

What he said actually enforces my argument once again im not arguing for a poll it was just simply a suggestion Im just arguing for the ability to monitor the mods to help improve quality and fairness.
