There needs to be a system in place that would allow mods to be properly measured in there ability to handle reports fairly and properly. I very much doubt that there is some one who consistently looks over every report and evaluates if mods are making the correct verdicts.
Why not implement a way to allow the community to "vote" on the end report verdicts and let the players decide if they believe the decision is fair or not. This would prevent any sort of mod abuse and allows the people who run the site an easy way to evaluate wether or not the mods are doing there job well. This also would be helpful for mods in the appeal process, as mods would be able to read the results and if the overwhelming majority of people believe the verdict given was incorrect, they know that the report needs to be reassessed.
One possible way to do this would be to implement a poll after a report decision has been made. Mods would still have the ultimate power in the final decision, but at least this way we give the community an easy route to help improve and monitor the site.
I don"t care if theres a poll or not, you guys just haven't given any actual valid information as to why it would fail, as your entire argument relies on the fact of "the community cant handle it" which is an opinionated statement and unless you provide real evidence as to why the entire community not just a few select people couldn't handle it is baseless.
All I said was there needs to be some sort of way that we can hold mods accountable, I simply offered 1 suggestion.
There needs to be a system in place to stop stupid people making stupid suggestions on the forums. lol

Honestly the only problem w/ this system is how bias communities can be. Chances are that if this system ever became a thing, there'll be at least one person that community is against and will blindly vote against. The only way I could really see this working is if there was some type of honor system to help prevent people from saying 'this deserves a vio' then later on for the same report saying 'no vio needed' just because it's a person they don't like.
everyone who has been on both sides of the aisle has unanimously agreed that your idea is asinine, i haven't seen one person come up in this thread who has been a mod, a role mod, or even a regular player and said your idea wasn't garbage

Let me tell you something. I disagree with a polling system, but am strongly for a trial system.
This absolutely does not matter, especially since competitive players generally have a better and more expansive knowledge on everything regarding gameplay and mechanics.
They're not effective at all, as soon as the verdict is made, no one is going back to look at the comments this whole process should be taking place after the verdict has been given not during.
Doesn't this point contradict your entire argument for a poll or other post-verdict method of analysis?
I was implying that mods dont go back and look at comments, and regardless this now provides an incentive to do so.
Also people make up there mind before actually thinking for themselves, when they say multiple people attacking my argument or multiple votes in favor of "no" they are more inclined to follow suit. Its a fact.
I mean i still believe on this forum platform it would still be more "No" then "Yes" but to think that all those players actually read and made up there mind on the issue is arrogant.
You mean....... like you expect them to ACTUALLY READ AND MAKE UP THEIR MIND ON THE REPORTS YOU'RE SPEAKING OFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF
I dont see how a 13 page forum post is comparative to a maybe 3 day game report especially when only there are 30 votes from 1600 views which shows that people on the forums clearly dont care about issues such as these.
Plus I believe the majority of the "No" players are competitive players and dont experience the same type of issues that those who play the more popular ranked setups. Notice how the "Yes" voters essentially all play the more popular ranked games as apposed to the competitive players.
