The Current Mod Team

The mod team is long overdue an overhaul.

At present, there are 20 moderators. Some follow precedent, some don't, but ultimately they all have their own benchmarks for what is or isn't acceptable. As a result, there are far too many flaws within the way this site is handled; from a sheer lack of understanding, to grudge driven decisions, to blindly sheeping one another upon request (this can be highlighted as my appeal has been hand-picked from the open reports and immediately sustained by Totori).

I was going to write up a large OP about this, but quite frankly I'd only be wasting my breath.

Bottom line is quite simply this - a 20 man weeb squad isn't going to bode well when it comes to website moderation.

Hipfiring in red heart = trolling, gold heart = GT. This has been precedent for well over a year now. Although, I would allow someone to explain themselves in an appeal if they feel they showed no intent to lose the game. Just imo.


I knew it used to be like that, then they changed it again that it was trolling in gold heart games, and I'm pretty sure they literally had it in the rules that hipfiring came under trolling.


Must have happened when I was away. I don't see a problem with it being trolling in both cases though. It seems stupid to apply a different violation for the same offence, and it's definitely ridiculous to slap a new player with a GT vio for something like hipfiring in a red heart.

I think an overhaul is a good idea. They refuse to actually consider appeals, auto back each other up and don't handle important reports well at all.

The lack of communication during my cheating report was pathetic.


Hibiki and I do not see eye-to-eye, but he is not impulsive and he displays professionalism. Solace is a fantastic moderator.

Well they should but clearly it's not happening. I don't even understand why they need so many mods. The report count isn't high.


The other issue is posting by certain mods. I was talking to someone about it. That we wouldn't have allowed it from our mod teams

If Totori actually took the time to read what I had written in this report https://epicmafia.com/report/178711 then this would have been discussed internally before any verdict was given. Unfortunately this was not the case, as the report was handpicked and sustained immediately.

I do not wish to victimise the admins, although I do believe the mod team demands more objectivity and diversity. The website is in the hands of like 15 weebs right now who will back each other up regardless of the situation.

Bear in mind, this is the level of expertise we are dealing with. Antikrist self-vio'd a report, yet had this to say in the appeal:

You know what a deleted thread means. Also your first vio is a warning with no suspensions. So technically, you got two warnings (one verbal, one inferred) before a violation.

Although, what I got the vio for is really irrelevant. This thread is put in place to highlight the inconsistencies of moderation.
