Le Chevalier D'eon was... decent.. not much else to say. would i watch it again? probably not. but the dub was solid and the plot wasnt bad.. terrible ending, though, imo
I believe they are both very well done, but yes I would say it's more personal opinion. Boku dake is just one of those thrillers that a wide variety of people can enjoy whereas Rakugo is a little more slow in its approach.
The reasons I like Rakugo more are these: the directing and the characters.
In episode 2
When it's in the past with Yakumo, you can really see the directing at work. His posture, his hands trembling, and the shots of the uninterested crowd. You can feel how nervous he is. With the music slowly getting louder and louder, the tensions of it all further increased.
Really it's more personal preference, the shows are so different from each other it's somewhat hard to compare.
It's good, but I still think Shouwa Rakugo is the better show for now. Kono Subarashii is also a pretty solid show as well.
I was enjoying Kono Subarashii until the teen Otaku protagonist of bland design, the 3 other main characters being female despite filling non-gender-specific roles, and the excessive pandering to male viewers all clicked into place in my head and I realized it was probably going to follow that "harem" formula I am becoming so distressed by.
Planning to watch ERASED episode 4 tomorrow, although I'm realizing with a fair amount of surprise that I too am a bit more invested in Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu RN.
Everyone seems to agree that episode 4 of ERASED is the best one yet, though, so that's neat. I'll probably be gushing over Boku Dake ga Inai Machi again in no time.
I'm not sure I'd go so far as to say Rakugo is the "better" show though. Not REALLY a true anime connoisseur here, so I'm curious why you'd say that, unless you're just saying it's the one you personally prefer.
Konosuba is the only other anime I've checked out between the ones airing. I know Danagi Kashi or whatever it's called is supposed to be good, but the premise of that one kinda bores me. I'm probably being too shallow and quick to judge but eh.
Edit: SORRY FOR THE LONGPOST OMFG NOT SURE HOW THAT HAPPENED LMAO
tl;dr/most important point: I don't exactly disagree with you, but is there a reason you think Rakugo's a superior show to ERASED?
