can we do this? gunsmith has been around for years and there has never been an objectively good gun setup, and thats because guns are horrible for competitive. Giving one person the ability to remove another from the game is a terrible idea for competitions and is ridiculously easy to throw games/troll with. Yeah, guns are fun but fun has never been the #1 priority for the competition and variety has never been a factor when deciding to ban the dozens of roles and setups that arent allowed to be made competitive.
Personally, I don't dislike or like gun setups but I rather dislike/like how they get used in games
If someone makes a clutch shot then I love it, if someone throws with it then I don't. It's the same kind of idea as someone lynching with hammer after selfvotes really
Guns are fun but really in competitive play they cause a lot of trouble in regards to rule breaking/line walking
I wouldn't ban them from the competition though, a lot of setups that get comped have them and they're popular in the competition. Some people are drawn to the competition because of gun setups, and there are some setups in which a gun is effective.
As a side note: Banning guns from competitive would be really stupid if third parties are still allowed
A round without a gun setup would be nice. People tend to play gun games a lot for some reason. It does not really affect competition but it would be worth to try a round with more scumhuting oriented setups and no guns.

Haha taht was a game for the ages: grit, determination & whatnot.
Same. That way the cop doesn't roleswap with mafia and I won't gun said mafia.

Agreed.

that just means its time to nip it before guns become popular again and nothing can change because too many people become upset, ie the classic mafia dilemma
Exactly. It matters a lot less since Main's competition gets more traffic than comp lobby did, where only one setup filled regularly.

Why ban it completely, I mean people like playing gun setups and If they don't, then they don't have to. It's not like every setup being comped has a gun in it.
There was a pretty good stretch about a month or so ago where there were no comped gun setups. It happens by chance. I think the best solution would be just to host tables of non-gun setups if you don't like them. Since Main's inception, if there's a gun setup, usually it'll have a similar amount of plays to non-gun setups, much like this round. Gone are the days where only guns dominate, or so I hope.
Sadly we've been begging for this for months/years

God please do this. The temptation of guns is simply too much to handle for the lowest common denominator, and a gun setup can never be competitive worthy because of this
