steven is so awesome i wish hed mod : (

The only thing that keeps me on this site is to try to head it into the right direction, and to run every 10-20 rounds to win my biyearly trophy. Other than that, I wouldn't do 10 reports a day every day unless it's as a favor to someone because they need the extra manpower while they find someone else. But that's never going to be the case any time soon again, because if anything, getting the reports done is something the mod team is quite good at now. You don't see 200 reports open anymore. No modding for me

People who want mods & users to be equals and it all to be seamless - Socialists

People who want more freedom and less moderation - Liberals

People who want to keep the status quo - Conservatives

People who want to roll back changes to the glorified olden days - Reactionaries

Perfect.

This was my idea tho. Have separate mods for doing reports, doing forum and catching cheaters. It was my idea from a long time ago. No one cared.

Outing alts is low.

Maybe xxerox is onto something. We should divide into "Socialists", "Liberals" "Conservatives" and "Reactionaries" and have democratically elected admins & mods standing from each party. Genius idea.

Inspirations can also be taken from Democracy 3 game.

The core of modship is to do as little as possible, yet to be mindblowing.

or maybe its to do reports and do them right

I don't think outing alts is ever ok and I agree mods should try to stay professional, but I also feel that more and more effort has been put into 'professionalism' by the mods lately.

I'm actually still a mod because I enjoy the handful of users who openly thank me and also from knowing that I'm helping the community whether they know it or not

This. Also because since I'd like to believe I know what I'm doing I'd rather be a mod then someone who has no idea what the hell they are doing.

Sure, and that's great. But like Slow, I think most moderators have a breaking point where either it's too frustrating or too dull to mod, unless something interesting happens
