tbh in terms of gaming experience, competitive lobby offered more bc you can be in a casual mafia game and casually converse while still playing the game and finding scum or w/e. there are times where you can play these really intense games too and sometimes its the exact opposite when games are all "NL ON A ML" or entirely too fillery with no in game content at all.
whereas in main, you can't be as flexible as that bc there's just so many people who you aren't familiar with and it's hard to be comfortable
the more diverse gaming experience in comp stems from the fact that everyone knew everyone and their metas. main is so different bc there's so much more people and less room to play depending on your table, instead you'd have to play strictly not to be lynched
and I'm sure in 10 minutes you will come back here and explain how you had a very enjoyable game of mafia because you are going into the game with the mindset that you are just playing to prove your point that made no sense in the first place. And even if you actually didn't enjoy it you will still say you do because you've been posting bs all day, why would it stop now?
I'm really not the type to act like this, but dude you seriously need to take a breather.
It's not hard to enjoy a game of mafia. I've honestly probably had a better time in Main Lobby because the games aren't so heavily influenced by meta and aren't just full of people chatting. It's nice to join a table to play a game.
Retti on a scale of 1-10 how much did you enjoy that game? :^)

why don't you try and play gold hearts and try and win, and then you'll see the point to this argument rather than taking a third person view on it all. It may seem all fine and dandy from the sidelines but put yourself in the heat of the action before you realise that your whole argument was pointless.
because this is a mafia website and the fact you're genuinely segregating people who are human and have personalities beyond 'that training idiot who got me lynched' is really sad
you dont even play anymore so honestly your opinion is 100% irrelevant. like who tf are you
ok, ill play a main lobby game and enjoy myself, having a good time getting to know people of the community and respecting the differences in playstyle or skill, all the while promoting a more healthy community as a whole instead of lashing out at others who don't fit the imaginary quota of a 'good player'.

what's wrong with a dude enjoying a game of epicmafia regardless of if it was enjoyable or not? sounds pretty next level to me.

no, ill play mafia instead of sitting here on the forums complaining about it

I'm not worried about being singled out if the comments have substance, so don't feel like you can't speak out.
I know it's only been going on for two days, and that the merge is still a very new thing. Again, like the Manchester United squad, they expected David Moyes to take the throne by storm and only felt like relieving him of his managerial position after a year had passed when they noticed no progression.
My problem is that, personally, I won't play a game if I don't know a single other player at the table. You've played with me and you know that I enjoy to converse as I play otherwise I don't really see much point in sitting at a table. The situation, from my experience, is that people are already packing up their bags and leaving.
Now I can't make a generalising and sweeping statement for the entirety of the competitive lobby, but I know that there will be others like me who share these thoughts. Over time, this will gradually see the end of most of the competitive players.
I'm just asking that we consider finding a way to nip this in the bud. Obviously, it seems like a no show though, and we're to attune to the new system in the most productive way possible.
Also, the Gallis/Hunter weekends were a great laugh, so I'm not sure what issue you had with them?
People complained that we were "favoring" Gallis Hunter and that we shouldn't give any setup special treatment. There's a complaints thread about it somewhere. I thought it was fun too. BannedUser Lobby has a Gallis hunter competition - we should try to revive that.
From what you've said though, it seems like you're more interested in the social aspect of the game rather than the game itself, please correct me if I'm wrong, but this is what I'm inferring from all of this.
My advice is just try to make the best of it and try and be a part of the change.

As a training lobby native since the creation of this account, I have noticed little to no difference in the merge. Things have operated just like they always have. It's like mixing one drop of food coloring into a liter of water, imo, leaving only a negligible tinge with the rest of the water being fine.
But as the food colouring disperses through the liquid, it fades in colour.
