This is the exact attitude that is problematic and why no new players went to comp lobby.

Speaking from someone who really couldn't give a rat's *** about a pixelated trophy, I am telling you that games are simply not fun. Players who have come from the competitive lobby have either left completely or play very sparingly.
You can say that the competitive scene was dying all you like, but the truth is that we managed to get 2-3 games running at the same time. These games were actually fun and people were able to have a laugh whilst playing to a sufficient and acceptable standard.

if you want players to get better, maybe you should take the time and patience to teach them.

main lobby has been fine, you can't expect players who have been taught bad habits by the training 'vets' who could never handle competition to completely understand the game at the level people want them to. i would dare say that some of the people flaunting in this thread or complaining about it have no right to as they are not pristine players in the first place.
i think main lobby is actually ok, there are still people who don't know better but with "better" players around i think things will shift, and hopefully the virulent attitude of the comp players will die down a bit too

anyone complaining about main lobby needs to realize that the current state of competitive was dying out and need to stop being xenophobic to players who don't know any better or don't spend all their blood, sweat and tears for a pixelated trophy on their profile.
