they could but say for example it was one of those random games also there wouldn't be much of a chance for mafia getting bugged they wouldn't know if they are bugged or the person with them is bugged so 1 person may slip up plan/a little strategy but i see its a good way to keep them on their toes

if you plant the bug on a player you can see what he whisper but not who he is talking to or whoever is talking to him you can chose someone to be bugged
