Some users might not know how to, so instead of kicking them, we should guide them and teach them how to. ive done this numourous times and its worked most of the time
Is us chasing away any new players with this toxic no avi policy. I have been part of it but i have adjusted my policy and i think everyone else should too.
Firstly we need to stop calling them no avis. what the heck is a no avi? only we know. there is no way newbies can realise it means non avatared users . avis= aviators?!!?!? avitars!!!?!?!?!
we should firstly make sure they talk and see if they are willing to ingage . if they talk and are a troll you kick if they don't talk or react to anything you say then i say its ok to kick. but if they talk normally. or heck say "its my first game" dont kick em and like help em out, walk em through the basics, teach tem how to not veggie. dont jsut say try not to veggie like wat the heck is a veggie "if you don't do your night actions, you will die of inactivity"

Follow-up, game mode still includes the mute option, so if an argument flares up too much here, or a user is disrespectful, they'll be put in a time-out. Agreed?

do we just make decisions based on majority votes or something? bc sometimes that doesnt work imo tbh or is the council more to just discuss? wat do we do when it gets heated

"Thanks for the invite! :D If this is serious, I'd say the first task is to discuss the overarching vision of this group. Going off my earlier comments, my suggestion would be along the lines of:
"Act as the conduit between community and moderators" - but this should be discussed, also do we want to include main community? I think of course, segregation is bad.
Then, how are we going to execute this vision?
We'd have to set up the proper infrastructure, perhaps a discord channel within one of the EM discords. We'd also need to someway to communicate with admins, perhaps also through Discord. Finally, we'd have to spread awareness throughout community so they can come to us when they feel disparaged by the moderators.
A more low-hanging-fruit task would be to compile all community-questioned moderator decisions (i.e. Phlorax, or hipfiring debacle the other day in main) and then prove ourselves by discussing and leading change if appropriate.
And then finally, if this is the vision, admins shouldn't be in this group (sorry gris ily XD)"
