are you expecting me to be like oH nO nOt emMA anYoNE buUt HeR oH nOoooOoooooOoOOo
but absolutely! if emma did that she should be permabanned too! stealing someone's ip shows that you're scum! its not like phlorax was some nobody; he's been in sandbox for awhile, but yeah, popular, unpopular, or whatever, you deserve to be banned
and i think you can rationalize what some bannable offenses should be, it really shouldn't be hard to decide that some things are unforgiveable
phlorax shouldve been banned but he wasnt, and he should thoroughly expect backlash for what he did
Ok, so you believe IP hacking/hidden linking should be punishable with a permaban, even if its a first-time offender? What if someone like user baabaa, a well-known, beloved user, hidden linked you to obtain your IP address. Should user baabaa be perma-banned?
What other crimes against the community do you think should result in a perma-ban?
baabaa would never have to hidden link, everyone would just give her their IP address
I'm just here because I love nikki. Be kind to people and try to understand all perspectives! Don't let negative or trolly people infect you and stress you out. Encourage an avi to noavis! Try to follow the Church of Sandbox too!
Awww. <3 I love you, Shoopie!
But I agree, we should encourage no avis to obtain avis.

I reject no avi policy because it is not good policy. It is deeply offensive to me in this sense.
However, it is NOT offensive to me that new users without avis might get lynched for not having avis. Get an avi, no avi. I don't like no avi policy, but get an avi, no avi. Being a part of the village is a big responsibility.
I couldn't care less for the no avi who is lynched. My tears are reserved for the game. And I shed them often.
"Here, we have an avi code, in the same way that we have a dress code. And what we are talking about is basically the avi equivalent to just wearing underpants. Sometimes avi we no need use, but need need for epicmafia."
Do you think in-game tissues should be provided for the tears you shed?

we should . we should care about all those newbies we are chasing away while our user base dwindles by the day. sure you laugh now but this is a dying website. why not try make it better so we can stop losing user base over an old meme. memes die. so should this one.
no avi is our invention with no context newbies would have no way of understanding what it means.
Non avis aren't that dumb just for not having no avi. coming onto a new website and not knowing the layout and how things work doesnt automatically mean you cant decipher basic information nor play epicmafia well. we have main lobby as proof. there are quite a few main lobby players without avatars that play it just fine but just don't have avatars.
im not saying they should never get an avatar. i'm saying that, we should explain to them why they are being treated this way, show them how to get an avatar and if they don't thats when you kick and policy. only when they refuse to conform to our communitie's way of life should we bully them until they cave in and get an avatar or go play in main.
i just don't agree with kicking without explainign to them first why. we just kick them and then lynch them and when they ask "why am i being lynched" the other meme of why = fry comes in.
rather than explianing why we turn it into a meme. if we tell them that its because they don't have an avatar and once they get one they won't be treated this way, show them how if they ask and send them on their way, then its ok.
pregame my policy is that, if they talk, if they show interest in participating in the game let them play and show them how to play or at least tell em to get an avatar and link them to my avatar thread. if they don't talk or respond or if they refuse to get an avatar because they wanna be a rebel, thats when i kick. and if a no avi is showing geunuine want to learn how to play during that game, AND US OLDER USERS KNOWING THAT AVATARS ONLY LOAD IN THE NEXT GAME, then i try not to policy so i can at least show them how to vote and how to do their night actions. that way theyd see potential in playing the game, get an avatar and be a new friend for us woo
Is that how people think and behave? I don't believe people actually think of behave like that.
The term 'no avi' is not as esoteric as you would have us think. Mafia is a complicated game at times. If you can't decipher the term 'no avi' then how will you find the mafia in a sea of villagers? If you can't ask for clarification on the meaning of the term 'no-avi' then how will you interrogate your fellow villagers for information, etc.?
I say again, having no avi is the equivalent of not wearing underpants. This does not mean I think 'policy' is a good formulation. But it means don't be surprised if they kick ya out of school when ya show up with no underpants.
This is the sort of thing that came up in the sandbox commandments thread. There is an infantilization of players and it is so silly.
And so I say again: I walk on both sides here. No avi policy is dumb. So is not having an avi. Both are true.

if you lynch them day 1, without explination, then they will just feel bitter towards this site and will leave. if you explain to them that they are being lynched because they dont have an avatar and once they get it, then they will be accepted into the community. and dont say "no avi" cause avi has no meaning to anyone outside of epicmafia
if the no avi is isping then sure lynch/kick but if they are showing clear signs of participation in the game, why lynch them? why kick them? why make them think lel t f did i do.
and its up to everyone else to get on board with this .

You make valid points, Roxy, but how can we enforce no Avis being treated equally?
stop kicking them without explination. first ping them, try to see if they are interested in learning, say hey get an avatar (they either will either say how in which case u can link them how to get an avatar thread, if they dont respond then maybe you kick, if they are like no thanks then you can explain why its important to get one and if they still say no then you kick)
as long as they understand what is required of them to stop being kicked. then its not discriminating ya feel me
