Politics General

Golbolcoover 7 years ago

Since some users dislike the political discussions on the Sandbox lobby wall, I’ve decided to make a serious thread where people can discuss political issues/tangentially-related discourse.

Please keep name-calling to a minimum and remember that site rules still apply. While this “debate” is not technically “moderated,” I reserve the right to mute anyone who decides to make this thread all about Jamal or Neanderthals or whatever.

Please just try to use this space to contain conversations that are otherwise derailing in other places.

And people say that they might not be qualified to join the military. That's because that people do things that would disqualify them (doing time for bad crimes, having tattoos in the wrong places, having the transgender surgery, etc.), which are actions that typically stay on record for a lifetime. And there are reasons why these rules are in place, and I am honestly not the expert there.

Another thing that can disqualify people from the military is a lifelong condition that would make you a hindrance in service. In that case, my friend jinga can say the rest:

if your health is so bad to the point where you need medicine to feel better maybe its just natural selection at work

So if you were to get free medical care, all of the doctors, paramedics, physicians, pharmacists, pediatricians, gynecologists, oncologists, endocrinologists etc. would not be paid for what they do (and those people probably have millions in student loans debt from college).
How stupid are you? The idea is to make healthcare a public / government run system as opposed to an industry. Government workers get paid.

Instead, we have corporations that would rather let diabetics and other people in need of treatment die than reasonably price their medicine.
ask anybody in the medical industry if they would rather kill a diabetic than give them a reasonable price.

Also, y'all know a good way to reduce medical bills? Join the military. My dad was in the military and has had cancer 3 times. He racked up over $1M in medical bills, but you know who came to save him? Good old uncle Sam. My dad paid less than $5K out of pocket, and he has been cancer-free for almost 3 years now.

USA, I hate living in USA. But that's just me.
Give me a few reasons why
Bad policies. No Medical System, instead it is an industry. the U.S. is ugly and way to hot, and Canada is colder. Maybe my problems would be solved if I moved to Minnesota, but I'd rather be in Canada.
How have these "bad policies" and "no medical system" effected you?
I know that it will someday, so that's why I want to get out of the U.S.

i don't think it's unreasonable for doctors to be compensated for their work that usually took a shіt ton of effort to get onto but that really doesn't to be accompanied with people having to pay absurd money for the treatment they need

lol you know how universal healthcare usually comes with high taxes? it's not unpaid

Medical stuff can only be measured as a service because people work to distribute drugs and stuff and administer certain procedures to ppl. And if you are a service worker, you get paid.

So if you were to get free medical care, all of the doctors, paramedics, physicians, pharmacists, pediatricians, gynecologists, oncologists, endocrinologists etc. would not be paid for what they do (and those people probably have millions in student loans debt from college).

Yes it is an industry. For a good reason tho.
