Since some users dislike the political discussions on the Sandbox lobby wall, I’ve decided to make a serious thread where people can discuss political issues/tangentially-related discourse.
Please keep name-calling to a minimum and remember that site rules still apply. While this “debate” is not technically “moderated,” I reserve the right to mute anyone who decides to make this thread all about Jamal or Neanderthals or whatever.
Please just try to use this space to contain conversations that are otherwise derailing in other places.

my mom has an incurable disease that will eventually kill her. she's had over 3 surgeries and has died twice. she's had internal bleeding because her body has been cut open so much she has no more muscle to hold herself together. she has to have injections every two weeks and they cost 5k apiece but luckily her insurance covers it. she's had over 3 insurance companies drop her because she's too expensive to cover. literally when people say "oh that sucks if they can't afford it" have clearly never watched their parent die and be resuscitated or watch her be 95 pounds
they will never understand and have no room to ever speak on it because they dont understand its real families and real people who will die

no i said people who don't care if other people die are awful people which is basic fact. if someone believes in that its going to take a bit more than a post on a java mafia forum to fix it
You're posting in a public forum though and other people may read what you say and it could change their mind. Instead of doing that, you just call anyone you disagree with a "poopoo head idiot face" and make yourself look bad.
Right way to argue on this thread: I believe letting people die due to inability to afford healthcare is immoral. If you disagree, that is fine because this is what I believe in and not everyone has to believe in it.
Wrong way to argue on this thread: You're an idiot for believing in something I don't agree on. Your parents should have killed you and i'm surprised you got this far in life. Please dispose of yourself while I dye my short hair a new shade of green.
