Hello everyone! I would like to ask the people who are interested in this event to participate and contribute as much as possible.

In order for 2 new roles to be added to em, the community has to work together to refine the ideas that are going to be mentioned below. We have to collectively select 2 of the best ideas and make sure their version is the best one possible. The next step would be to come up with some sort of artwork for the selected roles. Lucid mentioned something about rewarding the users behind the artwork that would get selected in the end for those 2 roles.

Jack the Ripper (originally Hypocrite)

  • Jack the Ripper hates anyone who kills.
  • Jack the Ripper only wins when the game ends and all murderers are dead.
  • If Jack the Ripper receives a gun or knife and kills someone with it, he will not consider himself a murderer.
  • To Jack the Ripper, murderers are killing roles or any other player that has successfully eliminated someone else (shot, stabbed, blown up, etc.)
  • If a player survives one of these actions, Jack the Ripper will not consider the attacker a murderer. (~Jennings)

Cat Lady

  • Chooses one player every night. The player is instantly alerted that a cat is at their door. They have two options: Kill the cat, and let it go. If you kill the cat, you are roleblocked and the Cat Lady doesn't know who was visited. If you let it go, the Cat Lady learns your role.
  • Sided with the mafia. (~Her)

Robinhood

  • Visits two people, taking all items from the first and giving them to the second (cannot visit self either way)
  • Action fails if trying to steal from a mafia
  • Sided with the village (~Torreador)

Vice President

  • If the president dies, takes their place
  • All townies immediately receive a message of their new president
  • Attends mafia meetings, and makes them anonymous
  • Cannot win if they are the vice president (~Alyssa)

Gossiper

  • Chooses one person every night.
  • Will see some whispers this person receives/makes.
  • Gossiper's action does not count as a visit.
  • Sided with the mafia. (~Soluciones)

(revising) the Seer

  • Knows all mafia from the beginning of the game.
  • If lynched at the end of the game, the last mafia can guess who the Seer is for autowin.
  • If the Seer dies, they will appear as a random (non-mafia) role in the setup and their will will always be blank. If dead, the mafia can still attempt a guess to the Seer's identity at the end of the game.
  • If there are multiple Seers in a game, only one Seer will know the mafia at any given time.
  • If there are two mafias and multiple Seers, the knowledge of the mafias will be split between them.

Whistleblower

  • Once per game can force someone to vote someone else. Vote cannot be OT'D if it is a hammer. Sided with maf (Will create more tension in selfing/hammering based setups (~Moldyches)

Soldier

  • If they are the last man standing against a single mafia or third party, the village wins.
  • Sided with the village. (~XFire)

PowerTown

  • Each night chooses a power role from the options provided to him. (the mods should determine the list)
  • Night meeting goes accordingly
  • Sided with the village

PowerMafia

  • Each night chooses a mafia role from the list.
  • Night meeting goes accordingly
  • Sided with the mafia

Also please loosen up on the filter. I've made a thread about this before, but I'm going to outline my points.

-Why can I say w_hore and s_lut, but not b_itch?
-Why can I say d_yke (when the user D_yke had her username changed to dzke without her consent, or even being asked "Hey, you must change your username, what would you like it changed to?")
-Why can I not say d_ick? That is oftentimes someone's name. It is ridiculous that the filter would act in such a way that it turnes a sentence into "Fun with raspberry and Jane." This is not Club Penguin.
-This is an an international community. The word c_unt does not carry the same stigma in most of the english speaking world that it carries in the US. That word is quite more freely used among Scottish people, British people, Irish people, and especially Australians and New Zealanders. I don't think it should be censored just because middle-aged American women are offended by it.
-Why can we not say s_hit? This is the most confusing one, as it was added after all of the others. S-hit isn't even a word that can be used against others. You *could* say "You b_itch," but I've never heard someone say to someone else "you s_hit."

You made the filter so people could not say slurs, and I'm fully behind that. But why add random swears to that filter?

Lucid, if you re-enable the role mod's abilities to handle role logic, I'd be happy to start going through the custom roles. Maybe a few of them could even be made official?

Reminders: - please make it so that all death messesages (even vegs) say a person's role. (e.g. BillyBob, the nurse, turned into a vegetable.

- please turn Funnersmith, Trollsmith, and Psychocop, into real, usable roles.

I can make a list of other things too. E.g. let people pick whatever colors they want (I was unable to choose gold for the username of my alt, instead it turned into an impossible-to-read neon green. This makes no sense to me.) but in turn, users should be able to select that user on their end, and make their username and text color default.

I mean it takes this scumsided setup and it could be "infiltration start" removing a blue/miler and having it be a multisetup.

This lets highly competitive setups have less random variance. I still think nightkills are important but there are some setups that I think could have improvements with the tiny change.

Now that snow queens been added to the game is it possible to discuss an idea I've had for a while?

Call it something like "infiltration start" mafia can't kill on the first night of the game, but all other meetings can happen.

Maybe this means no killing including stuff like vig but this would be important because you could take a mafsided setup and remove a blue from it, giving town both prs needed.

Another interesting idea is adding these abilities onto a blue.

Dawn start/ day start/ sunset. The role would be blue in everyway except it would change that setup to start that way. This lets users use the existing multi setup to basically create a multi with dawnstart/daystart setups.

If anyone cares...
