And the winner of the power of veto, who did not even have to use his 'Change Places' move...
Congratulations Jake, you have won the Power of Veto! You have until 8PM EST tomorrow to send in your decision along with a speech. Jayden, you have the same deadline to send in the renom with speech in the event the veto is used.
The last player standing will win the Power of Veto! Please tell us in your Diary Room when you would be available to compete and we will try to come up with a time that works for everyone. If a time can't be organized, it'll be non-live and players will make a move whenever they are on. If you think you will be significantly absent during the next day, let us know in your Diary Room.
Jayden, as HoH, and Anthony and Emily, as the two nominees, you are competing in the Power of Veto competition along with Jake, Sam, and Kori.
In Chess, the objective is to hit Checkmate. Chess has many moves you must try to predict in order to squander the chances of checkmate for the other player. Calculate their every move and attempt an assessment of position… The Mad Hatter has made his own version of the game Knight’s Move, and is forcing you all to play it on this Frabjous Day in order to reign supreme and win the Power of Veto!
Here’s how you play.
Everyone will place themselves somewhere on a 8x8 chess board. Then, you will move in an L shape, just like a knight does in chess. The square you were previously standing on will turn red, meaning that no one is allowed to land on it anymore. Everyone will take their turn moving on the board through a predetermined order.
The Mad Hatter has added an additional rule, though. You can announce “CHANGE PLACES”, which will cause everyone to swap their spots. The swap isn’t random, though. You will take the spot of the person who was below you on the chess board. The person who’s the lowest will take the spot of the person who’s highest. If two people are on the same row, then the person on the left takes the spot of the person on the right. Once the swap is complete, that will count as your move and the game continues. You’re allowed to announce “CHANGE PLACES” only once.
Once you cannot make any moves anymore, you will be eliminated from the challenge, and the square you last stood on will also turn red.
Jayden: This means I have nominated Anthony and Emily for eviction.
Jayden: Emily, you're consistently not honest whenever we have one-on-one conversations, and you made it super clear the other day that you did not want me winning H.O.H. this week at all and weren't subtle at all in your efforts to stop it from happening.
Anthony, I'm sorry to keep hammering down on you like this, but I'd be naïve to believe we could actually work together long-term at all -- and I genuinely believe that you are once again my biggest threat in this game.
I nominated you both together for two reasons. Firstly, I consider you both the centres of two de facto "sides" of the house, so I thought it would be best to put you both up for eviction up against each other in order to cut the head off at least one snake.
Secondly, after the events of the last eviction, I don't buy that you guys aren't closely working together either as a tight duo or as part of a larger alliance and I'd rather just have that out of the game. Ideally this was the best way to kill to birds with one stone.
I have no preferences as to which one of you goes, and I'm happy for everyone left to decide themselves. Please take these nominations as a crappy compliment, because I wouldn't be nominating you guys if I didn't think so highly of each of your games. Good luck in the Power of Veto Competition.
Congratulations, Goldd96/Jayden, you have won the Head of Household competition! You have 24 hours (until 9:00 PM EST Sunday) to submit nominations, key order, and a speech!
The final nominees are Scott and Emily. The house must vote to evict between them as well as submit goodbye messages for both by 8 PM EDT tomorrow. Sam, as HoH, you are only allowed to vote in the event of a tie. Nominees must send a goodbye message for the other nominee. Sam must also give goodbye messages to both nominees.
Jake: Sam, as I have vetoed one of your nominations, you must now select a replacement nominee.
Sam: I have chosen to renominate…
Sam: Emily.
Sam: Alice says: After that inspiring display of teamwork between Julia, Scot, and Jakeyy, I am required to submit a renomination.
Emily you, like I have already told you and the pov holder, are up on the block. You have done nothing to cross me and you are justified in being as mad at me as a march hare. I will pull you out of this rabbit hole if I can.
Duly note that I only rule out working with people who rule out working with me. Scott, Julia, I have sufficiently exacted my price for going with my name. Jakey, I might need something from you, but if we need to smoke a blunt together like the caterpillar to be friends again let's do it. I'm a looking glass who reflects your attitude towards me. If you want to burn my olive branches then be prepared that this one-off event can turn into a prolonged struggle. I hope I don't disappear from this house but if I do I'll vanish with a grin, like the Cheshire Cat.
I wish you best the both of luck, but it seems to me that I've struck accidentally onto another trio. Now that the house loosely seems to be <--3-1-1-1-1-3-->, you all get decide what happens next... although I will obviously have my preferences for this one week.
Jake walks in with the Power of Veto around his neck.
Jake: Welcome to the Power of Veto ceremony.Sam has nominated Scott and Julia for eviction. As Power of Veto holder, I have the ability to veto one of these nominations. I have chosen…
Jake: To use the Power of Veto on Julia.
Jake: I’m sorry to both nominees. I’m grateful that both of you contributed to me obtaining this veto and saving me this week. At the end of the day I’m making a decision I think is best for my game and I have to live with it. We all live with the decisions we make in this game. They make us or break us, but at the end of the day, the only person to blame is ourselves. This whole game my main objective was to be as honest as possible. I don’t go for anyone that doesn’t come for me first. That being said, Sam- When you take a shot at the baddest in this house, you better make sure you hit because when I shoot, I never miss my targets.
