So there's been a lot of shooting recently and the president isnt doing about it.
Australia had its worst mass shooting in 1996 on the 28th of April. 12 days later australia announced a bipartisan deal on sweeping gun control measures. The government brought back and destroyed over a million guns. We (australia) haven't had a mass shooting since.
Why is Trump not doing anything. Children are dying. People aren't living their full lives. If comforting those who have been through trauma and lost loved ones is all they can do b*llfucking sh*t. If saying it will be okay to those victims then saying that to gun owners should be fine too.

I always said this. But USA is like a country with zero regards about human life. I mean, it's not only the mass shooting or the facts that anyone can own dangerous guns. You see it in the healthcare system (where if you dont have money, you literally die) you see it in the "college debt" and in the work system where people can get fired and not paid for whatever the reason. Why isnt Trump doing anything? Because he doesn't care. Trump may be the president of the US because he WAS ELECTED, but he is still and entrepeneur, and if you see the bills he passed and his overall actitude, he is not acting like a president, he is acting like a entrepeneur. The funny thing is that he never stopped acting like an entrepeneur since the start, but for some weird reason people voted him. Why isnt going to be any change on gun control? Because of capitalism. Who gets a lot of money for selling guns and ammunition in the US? The weaponry industry. Do you really think, the weaponry industry is going to give up on their benefits? No they are not, Because they don't give a about people. So if the US had a decent president, he or she would do something against it, ignoring the weaponry industry. But the weaponry industry is the one sponsoring the NRA,and the NRA is one of them most important and influential organizations in the US. Trump or the goverment isnt going to doing anything against gun control. You guys want to it to change? Take the streets and reclaim your rights.
yea not all teachers wuld be capable of shooting people even if they were being mobbed and the pain they may go thru after it as well would be shiet as. I think it would do mor harm then good
Teachers are chronically underpaid, American health insurance is trash and expensive, and you dumbasses think that a teacher is more obligated to stand in front of a shooter and fight than a guard?

maybe in the states its different but I don't think I agree with this. Like if I was in grade 1 and the teacher had a gun in her cabinet id be frightened and also what if someone got to the gun that wasn't that well in the head. I mean if that happened people would know teachers have started carrying guns.
I don't really have an opinion on what Trump proposed but he was stupid with his tweet. "I did not say give teachers guns I said give teachers with experience guns", the statement is still the same.
to be very clear, what trump proposed and what rainy is saying here, because i know theres already misinfo out there:
conceal carry opportunities for faculty that have previous background w/ firearms and licensed to do so; would undergo add'l safety training for the school, the result of all this being a higher paycheck ideally or better benefits as a school protector
the key caveat people seem to be missing here: the gun would be locked away without students being aware, other than that the campus has armed protectors concealed amongst faculty
additionally, the gun should only be accessed under certain active shooter conditions, meaning that the faculty cannot take the gun out of its safe without these conditions being specifically met; in other words, very hard to just pull it out and misuse your power as a school protector
if u actually think about the idea, it's very straight forward and in fact genius. it makes attempting a school shooting not only risky but likely unsuccessful in many situations, because the ultimatum of failure, death, and risk can easily deter opportunistic shooters looking to "make a mark".
now that being said, this needs to still be coupled w better gun laws to begin with, as well as addressing and conquering mental health and wellbeing. but this is a great last resort measure

1, mentally unstable kid buys a semi-auto
2, kid's house is visited 35+ times due to family/personal issues
3, fbi receives 3 credible tips that he is planning a shooting: - "im going to be a school shooter" yt post, - pointed guns at classmates in the past, - parents specifically mention him sending death threats to people, - neighbor kid SPECIFICALLY warns them that he has been plotting something since being expelled
4, school is 3000+ attendees strong and has 1 armed guard
5, the single fkn armed guard chooses to stand by rather than act when shooting begins
6, the shooter would have fully escaped had it not been for an off-duty officer just happening upon him at the right time
theres simply no excuse for any single one of these
