TL;DR: We're starting from a clean state and have demodded everyone as we build a new mod team over the coming days.

Hey guys!

This is something that Nathan has wanted to do for a while, and with the events of the past few days it's been making a lot more sense for me. We're starting the moderator team anew and will be building it from the bottom up over the next coming days.

The mod team hasn't been working well, and with this restart we have the potential of building a better team with less conflict and controversial actions like the ones that have been happening recently. We'll be building the new mod team from a small selection of existing mods and new mods. We will not be re-modding certain moderators.

I want to thank the existing mods for being part of the EM, and I'm sorry for those who aren't being remodded, but it's nothing personal (and please don't take it personally! you're great) and this is for the best.

I'm glad the chat logs got leaked because it shows how poorly operated and screwed up the leadership of this site has been until now. As someone who is mentioned in the logs - and was impersonated in the group chat they're taken from, but alas - I'm pretty hacked off that a group who are meant to be looking out for this site's best interests are ridiculing both select users and the community behind closed doors. This shake-up could be a good thing, but it could also be another non-change that eventually results in the same show with a different cast. With this shake-up, there needs to be a radical change in how the mod team operates and what is permitted. The system in place until today isn't working and everyone outside the circlejerk knows it.

This feels like a long enslaved community is waking up to the manipulating forces of the evil ones.

Why says

Mod less on popularity and more on contributions made to the site. You should also actually take action on the people prying underage folks for nudes and whatnot. This is coming from a three-year moderator of a Pokémon forum who has seen similar things plague forums for well over a decade.
